Sounds like a vendetta to me and why didn't they thoroughly break down Spies bike for his crank shaft? Even if they did cheat where is the proof that this has given them the advantage to win?
Nevertheless, while I understand rules are rules the championship had so little going for it other than the fight between Spies and Mladin that now being so late in the season the AMA officials killed the season. Might as well not even run the next rounds and give all the riders more time to figure out what other series they can race in. The AMA and DMG have ruined the interest in the AMA series at least for me. It blows and I will probably stop watching it. Thank goodness for WSB/WSS and MotoGP.

there doesn't need to be proof of advantage. they could modify the crank to make the bike perform worse and it would still be illegal. the crank MUST REMAIN STOCK.

Well, we don't have hard weather like you are used to,

People rip on Ulrich but he's a straight shooter. And the proof of it is that he released his own statement at Roadracing World saying that Mladin should have gotten to go before the appeal board with all evidence presented.

Maybe he's worried about having bit the hand that feeds him. You could just as well view that "First Person Opinion" piece as back pedaling. Depends on how you look at it.
