I just spent a week in a rental Grand Prix. I found out why they are not selling. It really does suck. I bumped my head the first three times I got into the car. The seat sets too high for the car. It was easier getting in and out of the Spyker! And I guess I’ve got use to the 5 and 6 speed auto’s, the 4 speed auto just doesn’t work for me. It’s quick off the line and goes to 50 mph quick, then it shifts into 2nd and where did the power go? On the plus side, the interior wasn’t that bad, the seats were power with lumbar support. Gas mileage was okay, but driving in the mountains, the tranny and engine didn’t help! It shifted into second going up the mountain. I know it’s a rental with 22,000 miles, but I guess I’ve gotten use to my 2 door coupe and better engine/tranny compo.

Any comments?

I've only sat in the passenger seat of one, and I was not impressed by the interior styling or materials. Did you find the gauges and display numerals and buttons to be HUGE? I did.

The Grand Prix has been euthanized in favour of the G8...which is the biggest improvement in a model line since the 2002 Altima replaced it's blob-shaped forebear.

I did thought the gauges was large, but I kind-of liked it. As far as the buttons, no I didn't think they were any larger then what's on my car??

I didn't think handling was that bad going down the mountain. It wasn't my GTI, but it didn't feel like my old Ford Thunderbird....
