It seems that every time I try to get on the SPEED website the computer locks up and it happens no matter where I am or what computer I'm using.

Is anyone else having problems like this?

Problems? Legion. This site is horrible. I don't know who designed it, but, hopefully, SPEED will get their money back so they can try again. Slow, locks up, won't keep you logged in, hard-to-find links; it's useless.

The home page locks up Internet explorer all the time now. We are all waiting for Speed to work out whatever contractual issues they must have and get some professional work done. Suprising to me how bad this site is considering the same vendor, Mindcomet, was involved in the previous version of the site.

I mentioned to a professor at the college across the street from my office how frustrated I was with the almost useless and annoying site right after the "redesign" back in March or April. I ran into him the other day and he said his class is watching the site as a class project. He said besides the entertainment they get, it offers real lessons in what happens when a technology project goes off the rails.

It is easy to see from the rather terse replies from the Admins that they are as frustrated as we are.

I thought it was just me having these issues .

And can we please stop the insanity of porn type pop ups.

This is the first time I was able to log in this week, and it was not easy.

Please fix this mess.

i'm having the same problem as well.
it took over and hour after restarting to finally clear out whatever bug that's floating around here.

and it's happened more than once over quite a bit of time now.

Just happened to me again today twice.

And what is with having to log in just to read the forums .

It has been four months since I logged on to this website. I see nothing has changed. They have ruined a very good site and programming has gone down hill at an alarming rate. Only their road racing events are worth watching. Whatever happened to the old Speed Channel. I am sad every time I log on.

My problem is threads that begin with a posting of a url that takes the screen too far to the right, cutting off all subsequent text to the right of about nine tenths of the text box, making the threads basically illegible. I have complained about it, started threads about it, but I seem to be the only one with a small monitor, or something.

This is a very frustrating technical glitch especially when the thread topic is something I wish to read and/or participate in. I was told by one of the moderators that Speed was attempting to sue the people who set up the new site, and I was warned to stop complaining. Now, however, months have passed and nothing has changed.

I hope I am not banned from the site for mentioning it again, here.

I.E. locks up at work on the front page. I can only attribute it to an older version of Flash which Admin won't update. My biggest issue with this site is checking air dates to specific series. Hit and miss for me. Very frustrating.

The "new" site (how long has it been up for now?) is buggy as heck.

I thought it was just the forums at first, then I thought it was my computer, then maybe some of my software. Nope.

This whole site is buggy, cranky and frustrating.
