Tony Kanaan is the most valuable player at Andretti Green Racing, but he’s also the most valuable free agent in American open-wheel racing and SPEED's Robin Miller reports Chip Ganassi is poised to snap up the 2004 IRL champion.

this is what happens when marco is believed to be faultless. the POS is under the impression he doesn't make mistakes. its everybody else's fault. hope Tony jumps ship. micheal should be kissing tony's ass. marco is too young and inexperienced

If Marco really wanted to go to F1, maybe this is the time to bale from Indycar. Move to Europe run GP2 and a few A1GP races and get some valuable road course experience. Winning a GP2 championship wouldn't be so bad. If TK stays it wont be a good environment. The first time they have a near miss, it'll be like 08 all over again. If TK leaves, what is Danica gonna set up Marcos car? I think Marco could become an excellent driver if the situation is right. Running ovals isnt gonna get him a F1 ride. And with all thats going on at AGR, it seems like more of a distraction. Yes it would be great a Rahal,Foyt,Andretti rivalry, for years to come in Indycar. But it would be cool to have an American in F1, and with the last name of Andretti, thats an added bonus. German Timo Glock aint doing all that bad. I beleive he was a test driver in F1 before he raced in Champ Car getting some valuable street/road course experience. He was Champ Car rookie of the year in 05. Then he went back for a championship in GP2. Now back in F1 with Toyota. After destroying the car in Germany due to a equipment failure, he came back and made podium P3. Micheal Andretti, Jacque Villeneve,Juan Pablo Montoya, Alex Zanardi, Cristiano DeMatta, and Sebastian Bourdais all had CART/Champ Car championships under their belts before they went to F1. Mainly racing on street/road courses. I've never been an Andretti fan except for some guy named Mario. Marcos is still young enough that he could come back and not be ashamed. Or maybe get what eluded his father, an F1 championship. He'd have one new fan cheering for him.

Marco or any other Indy driver will never leave a paying job in Indy cars to got to GP2 and drive for bascially no money. Maybe do A1GP because some of the races are after the season. Kanaan should leave that mess at AGR.

But what is Chip going to do with Dario? Nascar is out and I guess Dario said no to IRL for Chip to make an offer to Kanaan. Wheldon is in trouble b/c there is no way he teams with Marco & Danica. Wheldon in/Sorenson out for Nascar?

I don't know why Chip has to get rid of Dan. His team surely has the resources to run 3 cars, and a Dixon/Wheldon/Kanaan trio would be mighty formidable, if not dominant. What will Danica and Marco do when they don't have Tony to set up their cars?
