I agree that Nascar should have its own channel. I understand that it has a huge following but the fact that it absolutely dominates a vast portion of the schedule is completely out of hand. I enjoy most types of motorsports and there are hundreds of series out there that i would love to see but can't because SPEED feels it needs to show at least 15 hrs of Nascar related programming a day. As for shows like Pinks, Supercars, 101 Cars and Whips, i would be happier without them all together. Supercars Exposed is absolutely terrible in my opinion. You learn absolutely nothing about the cars and its just a half hour of some bratty kid tooling around in expensive rides. 101 cars is pretty much identicle minus the bratty kid. Give me some programming that either shows me how to work on a car (and when i say work on a car i don't mean installing speakers and dvd players) or some shows that look back on automotive and racing history. Perhaps Some ESPN Classic type airing where they replay great races from the past. Or how about an American version of Top Gear. Anything would be better than Nascar, Nascar, more Nascar followed by a little Nascar. Give it its own channel and show us some of the other race series that are out there. Car, Motorcycle, Boat, Airplane, Baha, Ralley, Road, Drag ... Its all good to me.

I like Formula One. The rest of the stuff is superfluous. When the F1 season ends in November, there is nothing worth watching on Speed TV until the next season starts in March.

I agree that the reality shows and Nascar is boring and a waste of time.

They do, it's called Speed.

It subsidises the rest.

And when all else fails, BLAME SPEED!

“Crap programs” are anything that I don’t like.

“Because I don’t watch it” means that nobody watches it either.

Now of course the majority of us wants to see racing...ALOT of racing. Well, let's say SPEED channel all of a sudden said, "ok we heard the complaints. We give in. What kind of racing do you want us to show?"

You were given a list and they wanted you to fill out what series you want to see.
What would be on your list and why?

F1. Why? If it weren't for F1, I would not bother with Speed Ch. .....except for... (I pay extra for the cable needed to get the box so I can get the sports tier to get Speed TV. F1 is my primary motivation.

...24 Hours of Le Mans

24 Hours of Daytona

12 Hours of Sebring

ALMS

Rolex SCS

FIM

WRC - IFffffffffff they had it??? Seriously, WTF speedTV?

I miss Victory by Design with Alan Decadenet

Sometimes the Auctions are nice because you get to see cool cars.

W.O.O.'s is exciting sometimes

Basically, any form of motorsport with road courses is my cup 'o tea, whether it be dirt, tarmac, or ice/snow.

Drag Boat Racing, Nostalgia Drag Racing with front engine top fuel cars and Nostalgia funny cars is the big thing on the West Coast. I also like World of Outlaws sprint cars, Reno air races, F-1. Way too much Nascar. If you can still turn left you ain't going fast enough!!!

Since SPEED is always crying 'poor' in response to the 'why' when it comes to the so-called 'reality' shows, how much friggin money could it possibly cost to get ahold of TNN and TBS' old race coverage? Some 'old school' Cup racing and vintage WoO races would be very welcome to us unfortunate enough to not get ESPN Classic.

How about bringing back The Isle of Man TT races?
How about Goodwood?
How about more shows like Victory by Design, Motorsport Mondial, the History of Motorsports.
I enjoy watching shows where I actually learn about subjects I am interested in, such as the history of motorcycle racing and the history of the motorcycle, showing how different brands evolved. There is a series of videos called "Champions" that are about the major motorcycle racing champions and their life history (Kenny Roberts, Barry Sheene, Agostini, Hailwood, Surtees, Spencer, etc.)
There are shows on the history of the Isle of Man. There is a 3 part series called the Castrol History of Motorcycle Racing, the early years, the Japanese invasion, and more current years. I also like shows like American Musclecar which shows the evolution of the different makes and brands.

This is what I like to see, along with all the motorcycle road racing, motocross and supercross.

Someone hire BMWSTEVE in the SpeedTV programing department...please before I go insane with all the NASCAR, Pinks and Wrecked garbage, that someone thinks real gear head racers really want to watch!
