Dakar was shown on Versus this year. Isle of Man I have good memories of and would add my name to the list of those who would like to see it return, but as long as there's easy money in shows like Pinks, Livin' the Low Life, it won't happen.

i like to just see racing. if speed will quit with these dumb auctions and pimp my crap then all would be right. Fox needs to put some racers in control of Speed so we see less Napcar and more racing. i don't mind the fact they have napcar but do we really need the 100 hrs of one race? show time trials, happy hour and the races done.

14 just give me real racing in cars and motorcycles instead of bs pre scripted reality shows like unik whips, pass time, pinks, etc. I want to see racing. Or antique cars like alan de cadenas showed. no auctions!!!!

I get versus, and I have paris-dakar on my tivo wishlist. I didn't get any recordings. I don't think dakar was televised on versus this year. (it was last year 4 sure).

Versus is where I saw it.

I would lke to see a good cross section of all motorsports not just Pinks, Unique Whips and Pass time. Too many re-runs. I don't even have to like the shows. Example: Livin' the Low Life. I have no time for low riders. But recognize that they are a part of the motorsports culture and there for deserve their time.
How about a motorcycle touring show with different people hosting. And not someone that everyone knows. Get together with some locals and have them host the show and take the show to their favorite roads. Get the audience more involed.

I figured this would be a great topic. Keep in mind that you would need to make money, but what would you do, as that you are on the Speed channel forums, you are the die-hard racing fan, and seeing the negativity, what would you do to keep the network afloat, while still upgrading the programming?
Lets get a list going here
Shows to keep
NASCAR-Don't like it, but it brings in viewers, Viewers = $
Speed Challenge-Great racing coverage
SCCA Runnoffs-Amateur racing at its finest
ALMS
F1
KONI Challenge
WRC (if possible)
Moto GP
Motocross-Again, not a fan, but if viewers like it, then keep it for ad cash
Barret Jackson-Again, can get old with repeated viewings, but holding live coverage for 3 days maybe twice a year isn't bad
Superbikes-Only good "lifestyle" show on Speed. Honest tech stuff, and insight into 2-wheeled culture
Car Crazy/Supercars Exposed/Dream Car Garage-Some sort of combination, or keep them all, great (IMO) for saturday/sunday morning shows
Chop, Cut, Rebuild/2 Guys Garage/Truck U-Ok, so I'm not into trucks, but at least these shows have some tech and repair stuff on them, so they gotta stay
Racing-Any racing that involves professional should be included, but less emphasis could be put on stock car racing, like ARCA Re/Max series
Shows to kill
Unique Whips-Seriously, you want to see that, go to your local car audio shop, they can do it better, for less, and without the attitude, and they DONT DRIVE YOUR CARS!
Pinks/Pass Time-I liked someones idea about not having Ken on, to let the contestants win the cash. I like both shows, but in moderation, and I think Pinks: All Out is much better than regular Pinks, because no one wants to see a 40 year old man cry like a little baby.
Import "lifestyle" shows-They portray the "tuner culture" in the most backwards and incorrect way. The days of Hot Import Nights and 20 TV's in a car are over.
Wrecked-Interesting concept, but poorly executed, makes me wonder about other towing companies and how they do things
PMR-No explanation needed
I know there's more, but I can't think of them.
I know Speed is a business, and they need to make money, but I agree with a lot of posters here, they are really selling out. I know times are tough, but you need to stick to your guns. I don't want to have to check my TiVo at home to see if there is racing on speed, I should be able to turn the channel on and "boom" racing.
I think it frightens me a little that reps from Speed are not on here taking what people say into consideration, I thought that what that Rich Christenson did was a good idea with that "power block" or whatever, when they tested the shows on the public. I felt like I had a voice in the network, and that any decision was made by the viewers who cared to voice the opinions.
Just my 2 cents. Sorry for the long post, but I really do care for Speed channel (as my fiance can attest), and I don't want to see it go down the tubes trying to cater to a group of people that dont just not care, but dont even watch Speed.

Speed has a motorcycle touring show they run from time to time. What I'd like to see is a break from the Pinks, Low Lifes, and similar programming. In other words, some REAL racing and not just the stuff NASCAR calls racing.
