Now of course the majority of us wants to see racing...ALOT of racing. Well, let's say SPEED channel all of a sudden said, "ok we heard the complaints. We give in. What kind of racing do you want us to show?"
You were given a list and they wanted you to fill out what series you want to see.
What would be on your list and why?
I'll go first:
1. Formula One: It's the jewel of motorsport. F1 I think should be a vital series to have.
2. Super GT: I put this down here because I would love for SPEED to have a series for everyone. And I think rice burners would love to see Japanese sports cars race.
3. Sports Car Racing: Same thing with Super GT but for those who like exotic sports cars.
4. 24 Hours of Le Mans: dedicate a FULL 24 hour time-slot to just this race
5. WRC: I'm medicore when it comes to WRC. But It would be good passing time to have.
6. A1GP: A perfect thing to prep people up for Formula class racing...not to mention root for Team USA!
7. MotoGP: again...not my thing but an appropiate add-on.
Well. That's all I can think of. What would you want broadcast?

I would love to see expanded coverage of the Bathurst Australian V8 Supercars race at Mt. Panorama. Cool cars. Incredibly unique race track.

Give me all the FIM motorcycle racing - all classes - live, even if it means showing it at odd times like live Formula One. Keep the superb coverage of Formula One as is.
Show as much live AMA racing as possible - in fact any motorcycle racing with the possible exception of the proposed dumbed-down dmg stuff such as "daytona superbike" and even MotoST. No one wants to watch boring jive that reeks of nascar. However, if it helps displace or eliminate stupid reality programming and non-stop repetitive nascar drivel, bring it on.
Live coverage of sports cars, with a heavy favor toward ALMS over Rolex Series.
All the NHRA and other pro drag racing that can be obtained - again, live when possible.
Any open-wheel racing - live, of course - and high-level dirt racing such as sprinters.
Most of all, I wish they would ditch the lowbrow stuff like lowriders and unique whips and wreckers and pinks - do away with all the reality-style timewasters. Oh yeah, and back way off on the nascar stuff - I mean, how much needs to be said about this form of racing.
In truth, my choice would be to create a seperate channel that would lump together all the reality jive and nascar - and show nothing but real racing on SpeedTV.
Other than everything above, I don't have any opinions - anyone at Speeed listening???

I think they do a great job as is. A bit more IRL would be nice but ESPN has a lock on it.

How about bringing back The Isle of Man TT races?
How about Goodwood?
How about more shows like Victory by Design, Motorsport Mondial, the History of Motorsports.
I enjoy watching shows where I actually learn about subjects I am interested in, such as the history of motorcycle racing and the history of the motorcycle, showing how different brands evolved. There is a series of videos called "Champions" that are about the major motorcycle racing champions and their life history (Kenny Roberts, Barry Sheene, Agostini, Hailwood, Surtees, Spencer, etc.)
There are shows on the history of the Isle of Man. There is a 3 part series called the Castrol History of Motorcycle Racing, the early years, the Japanese invasion, and more current years. I also like shows like American Musclecar which shows the evolution of the different makes and brands.
This is what I like to see, along with all the motorcycle road racing, motocross and supercross.

I'd also like for shows like Windtunnel to be on more, maybe not all with dave but have like a show on wednesday dedicated to indycar with robin miller, a show dedicated to f1 with bob varsha and david hobbs on thursday, and than ull also probably need one about nascar on friday (although i dont care for it) and maybe some more talk about motogp. Than run regular windtunnel on sat and sunday night.
Get Eurosport commentators for MotoGP, they are free next year, hire them to commentate for speed. Also get series like WTCC, DTM, FIAGT, Le Mans European Series. Broadcast races like GP2 live instead of delayed.
Show F1 live on speed and later delayed on fox for the 4 races that need to be on network tv.

The F1 coverage is great. Any and all racing from Europe: FIA-GT (Spa 24 hours was last weekend, i would have watched), LMS, FIM, MotoGP, DTM, Australian V8 Spuercars (not europe but more so than we are), A1GP, Definately WRC, Rally America would be great, IRC, the rally series formed off Dakar, use the motors TV or Eurosport Feed if you have to. In depth coverage of ALMS (although it should be there for comparison, grand-am can be passed over), Indycar, karting, Atlantics, USAC. Take 90% of the way overly redundant nascrap off the air!
This isn't including getting rid of the faux reality stuff. Bring back/get more: vitory by design, vintage coverage, american muscle car.
Just my .02
