It is a well known fact that Mike Waltrip is the biggest shill (some, me included would use the word #####) for all things corporate and to hell with the fans (although he does attempt to pay lip service to the ticket holders and telivision watchers) who ultimately pay his and other racers bills.

But when he tells me a fan that has attended all fifteen Brickyards (I have 6 $85 tickets $517 a year with a service fee included) and countless other events over the years that I should thank NASCAR for putting on a race with an exciting finish..... what in the hell is he thinking, Brian Vickers nailed it, just out of his car..... "I am embarassed at the show we put on" or something in that vein....

That is over the top, even for a Waltrip: Mike must finally go from Toyota, SPEEDTV and everything else he is on.... the man is nuts..... and what is that running out the corner of his mouth anyway??? has he learned how to dial 911 following an accident? oh that is right he has so many accidents.... he now has them on speed dial....

Remember Mikey took a lot of shots to the noggen when helmets weren't so good. He's paying the price as do we listening to his schmegma. Those who tow the corporate line after that race deserve no respect from those who work for a living and paid hard earned money for a ticket to that race. It was interesting to see how the spin machine would be set in motion, started by MH during the broadcast, and it's running about 9K rpm.

Nascar should be reimbursing ticket holders from the 'race'. It's time they step up and take responsibility for this mess of which they control every aspect. Time to step up. Pay up. 'Fess up. Cuz they screwed up. Let's see what happens, let's see if they say "I am embarassed at the show we put on" and do the right thing.

I didn't even watch the show last week because I knew Mikey would say something lauding NASCAR that would make me mad. I see from the above posts that I was right. He used to be so funny, but now I can't even stand to listen to him at all...

i can't watch anything that has him in/on it.
truck races usually end up being watched with no sound.

spencer and big mouth k.wallace are right down there with him.

these three are nothing but camera sleazes who probably work for the minimum rate.

You're 100% right on...can't stomach him...hard to put up with a guy who blocks the leaders while being lapped for the second or third time on purpose...then gives the reason "I have to get my sponsors on tv somehow"....well...he's losing his sponsors faster than he flaps his mouth to kiss Nascar's rear...funny how his marital issues and wrapping his truck around a pole and fleeing the scene just doesn't seem to get the same amount of attention as when the same things go on with other drivers....Gordon's divorce got plenty of attention....

Mike may well be a shill for the corporate world and for NASCAR too, but isn't that what NASCAR wants. Didn't they just recently tell the drivers and owners to stop whining to the media about the COT or else. Mikey is just doing what he has to do to protect his business.
