1. So much for the new rules having any effect. (which they probably wouldn't have on a short track)
2. I remember a rule where the pole sitter has to cross the start finish line first at the start of the race? What happened to that huh?
They showed a some stats at the begining of the race how JGR has all but one of the toyota wins and I bealive the 32 of Braun actually uses JGR motors and kyle busch was driving. I am sorry NASCAR punished a manufacuter when it is a team that is dominating and will continue to dominate dispite the penelty. If they wanted to fix it let the other makes use the same style engine as they do in the cup series.
Even though they claim they use the TRD (Triad Research & Development aka BDR) engines ... I'd pretty much bet that when Kylie & Dennis drive the 32 & 10, that Braun gets a "gift" from JGR ... Esp since the 32 has a win with Kylie in it this year ...
At least when RCR won 13 races in 2006 ... They spread them out over the whole year ... not the first 1/2 to 2/3rds of the season ...

Congrats to Kyle and team. Even restricted they still win it.
And they rub everybody's (including NASCAR) noses in it ...
It's poor sportsmanship for both the crew chief and the driver to mock the competition and sanctioning body in the post-race / victory lane interviews ...
It is poor sportsmanship for NASCAR to change the rules to just limit Toyota because they followed what was put out there for the season and gained and advatage on the others. Guess it equals out.

Why not? Put yourself in that spot... the competitors whine to the point the series officials restrict you, then you lead 197 of 200 laps the next week. I'd have been more obnoxious about it myself.

I think I'll make "I'd like to thank all the complainers for my new traction control" my new sig here.

I couldn't agree more. Whatever happened to the days when you got your butts beat you headed back to the shop, rolled up your sleeves and got to work. I'm sick of NASCAR's obsession with parity. If someone wins by 10 laps and does it fairly so be it. It's up to everyone else to make sure it doesn't happen.

NASCAR's answer to that would be "You need us more than we need you" ... That's their standard line to anyone who disagrees with them ...
I'm not saying what NASCAR did was right or wrong ... But, it's their game & they can do whatever they want since they're the sanctioning body ... I don't know if they did the tapered spacer change in order to get more sponsors for the struggling teams or in hopes that more people will come out to the races ...
The main problem is the lack of continuity with the rules ... If they want parity across the board, then they should make all of the engines have the exact same bore spacing / horsepower ...

Another steller effort from the MSRP teams, putting in a whole 10 laps this week. Apprently they gave Cook and Chapman a extra 2 laps since it was Indy.

Then their next move is to just go to one engine. Doesn't matter what make the engine is, the cars look the same to make it all the same. The big problem is NASCAR doesn't care about the racing anymore. All they care about is the show. If they cared about the racing and the competition then they would not be catoring to everyone that cries foul when on team gets and advantage and hamdicap that team just so the others don't have to work to catch them.

Congrats to Kyle for once again showing NASCAR
that they are turning what was once "Stock Car
Racing" into the WWF of motorsports.
