Ugh...Very sorry to hear this - after watching the coverage of the race, they seemed to suggest the injuries were fairly minor.

Hopefully everything works out OK

I missed the race, and the incident. Left with the hose still attached? I thought the engine had to be off during refueling? How did this happen?

IMSA and ACO rules say that the engines have to be shut down during the stop. The nozzle jammed in the dry break, and Simon was probably told to go, or it was a go vs woah deal like in NASCAR.

The fueler tried to pull the nozzle out with only one hand, and of course it didn't come out. Simon fired up and pulled out. The line separated and the dead man valve appears to have not shut off the flow.
