DRC motorports are apparently going run 2 Lexus ISF's(or IS-GTF as they call them) in SWC starting, apparently, this weekend with Jeff Altenburg, and the other starting at Road America. Anyone able to confirm if they're there this weekend?

I heard Holland was suppose to run a Lexus earlier in the year but I guess it didn't fall through. If this is Holland's car maybe they were just prepping it until now? Road America?! Woo-Ho! I'll be there and if the Lexus is there I'll have my camera/cam recorder ready.
Ummm...twin turbo V6 right?<<<<Forget just read the article and it said 4.7 V8 pushing out 510HP. Hummmm....I wonder if thats the Grand Am DP motor in there or at least some version of it.

It is there but not run in qualifying. I only saw one and had Altenburg's name on it.

According to WC webpage it reads that Altenburg finished 24th after starting 30th...I guess this was in the Lexus?

Dude, you must have reading comprehension issues. The results sheet on the SCCA site clearly indicates the make and model of car for all entrants. Here is today's results;

Are these the infamous GT2 Lexus's that were bund for ALMS a couple of years ago or are they new from the ground up cars. They look awful similar

The Lexus was concierably slow than the other cars running. It finished 23 by surviving. It looked great tho.

I agree the car looked good but I think the team was mainy using the race as an extended test session to
develop the car. They weren't competitive but I am sure their performance will improve in the races to come. This is really one of the best race series going. I can't wait until Road America.

Well... they are across the street right now (Redmond, WA at the traditionally Porsche race shop), in a MIGHTY fine transport semi + trailer.
I'll go take a peek, brb.

"Altenberg", #72...
I say: "Don't see many non-Porsche in here, it's gorgeous..."
Then ask: "in for the 'too much HP is not enough?" question-
"In for steering issues, actually."
