Second practice had SunTrust, Krohn, and Doran quickest in DP. Things are looking good for SunTrust, being in the top three for the first two practii, although they didn't improve their time from the first session. Interesting that three non-Rileys were quickest in the second too.

Valiante takes DP pole in the SunTrust Pontiac Dallara with a large 0.4s gap over Rojas (Lexus Riley) in P2. Zonta (Pontiac Lola), Fogarty (Pontiac Riley), Cosmo (outlaw Porsche V8 Coyote), and Donohue (Porsche Riley) in 3rd-6th all 0.7s off pole.

I hope Scott and Memo take the championship. I know that there are some fans who don't want to see this but I'm a Lexus fan in the Rolex Series and seeing the both Shank racing and Chip's teams doing well bring me joy.
As for the GT class another great win by Speedsource and its always good to see someone beating those grid hogging Pontiacs.

And the race-leading curse strikes everyone but Ganassi again.

Aren't tactics like track blocking or running the car next to you off track against the rules? Isn't the 01 on probation? Wouldn't the 01 running the 58 off the track be a probation violation?
Oh, wait... Scott Pruett is a clean racer, so that never happened and the 01 would never be on probation.

Anyone else notice the sound? Could hardly understand commentators over the noise. 2nd race in a row.
Not saying do away with it, but maybe the sound men could adjust the audio so we can hear if something important is said.

Rojas was on probation for a couple rounds but is off it now.
The sound on SPEED cut off every now and then, but I don't remember the announcers being chronically drowned-out. But then again I was watching T&S;and chatting online while the race was on TV so I could easily have not been paying sufficient attention to the announcers in the first place.
