This coming August, the Super League Formula series will begin it's inagural season at Donington Park. Just wanted to know is this:

What is the annual budget for a soccer team? And who has the best gross earnings?
And which are the top 10 in the world and where is the best MLS team stand?

This year Real Madrid retains its place at the top of the Money League, the club’s third season at the top, while Manchester United , whose turnover leapt by 33% retake second place, Barcelona consolidate their strong performance in recent seasons and complete the top three.

Last season Man Utd had earnings of £245 million for the 12 months to June 2007, a 27 percent rise on the previous 12 months, putting them ahead of English rivals Arsenal but behind Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants reported a £263 million turnover in the same period. On paper, Real may be one of the world's richest clubs but earlier this year they were forced to take out a £30 million loan to cover operating costs and to compensate for the estimated £30m loss in annual revenue of David Beckham's move to Los Angeles Galaxy last summer. Spanish newspaper Marca, believe Real will now take out another huge loan, to fund their bid for Cristiano Ronaldo. Their thinking being that Ronaldo's arrival will recoup their losses in merchandising and promotional deals.

It's all in sterling, so you'd have to do the conversions to USD/CAD/EUR.

I'm hoping to go see the inaugural Super League Formula event at Donington, The 750-horsepower, V-12 Elan chassis cars decked out in Club colours will be waaay kewl to see cool smile

*Non of the football clubs involved are required to contribute financially.
