Wow! Went to the first night of USAC Indiana Sprint Week last night at the recently rebuilt Lawrenceburg Speedway in southeast Indiana. About 3 years ago they built a huge new main grandstand with backed seats. This past spring the track was enlarged to 3/8 mile, widened & banked. The racing was terrific! Great side by side racing all evening! Heard before the race that a driver recently remarked that it races like a small Eldora. He was right! Congratulations to everyone involved. For once, reconfiguring a race track was a great success.

That's weird. Maybe it's the open wheel factor. I'm vacationing with a guy from Cincinatti that frequents L'burg and he said that the late models run so fast and that they diamond the corners and so now don't have room to pass.
