I know I should be posting this on another section of the SPEED forums but I felt the sport car forum would probably give me the most answers. So sorry mods but let this thread stay here?

So what do you feel is the best road course/street courses in North America?

I don't know which is "best". I have a lot of fun at Sebring, and I would bet that it is at the top of a lot of driver's Most Demanding RC Lists.

well midohio is the only one i have been too(since cleveland i assume doesn't count in this discussion), so I am very biased to say the least. Still for auto racing it would be hard to beat road america and for motorcycle racing nothing I can imagine would beat the corkscrew at laguna.

My god. There are so many great ones in North America.

However, these are my top 5.

1. Mosport - Probably the fastest and most demanding circuit in North America. If you get a lap of this place done right, you really have done something.

2. Road America - Close Second. Just a magnificent course that separates the great from the average.

3. Mont Tremblant - Not many people have been to a race here live, but it is one amazing racing circuit. Incredibly fast and challenging.

4. Road Atlanta - Much like Mosport. Super fast and very challenging. Tough circuit.

5. Virginia International Raceway - This is such an incredible circuit. Very fast and flowing and demanding.

Honourable mentions. Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen, Laguna Seca, Barber Motorsports Park, Sears Point, Lime Rock.

I've never been to all of these tracks but the tracks I like to watch on TV..

1. Watkins Glen - some magical about the place and that starting line is one of the most memorable for some reason. Must be the blue color.

2. Road America - My backyard (about 1 1/2 hours away). Awesome track, awesome food, awesome races, and awesome fans.

3. Laguna Seca - Corkscrew is known worldwide and races are always close and exciting

4. Road Atlanta - Feels and sort of looks like Road America. Petit Le Mans is always great.

5. Long Beach - Not an excellent track from the driver's view I suspect but its great for the fans. Plus there's history in the course which for me is very important.

Others: Circuit de Villeneuve (F1 and Champ Car races were great here), Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (dangerous but well known), Mid-Ohio

I'm biased, but I'm gonna say Mosport is the best. You play for keeps every lap there, and if you get a really flying lap right you outta congratulate yourself. Some awesome spectator viewpoints too.
