Re: Ferrari's strategy of leaving Kimi on worn intermediate tire at the first pit stop.

1. Forgetting hindsight - I don't understand why they did this. I seemed to me that Kimi was, up to the point of the first pit stops, able to keep pace with Hamilton - or at least keep Hamilton in his sight. If Ferrari had matched McLaren's strategy for Hamilton, that is changing to new intermediates at the first pit stops, they would have been no worse off.

By gambling on the weather (that is Ferrari was positioning themselves for no more rain and a drying track) they put themselves in a position that if:
* conditions stayed the same, they were worse off than McLaren,
* conditions worsened with more rain, they were worse off than McLaren,
* conditions improved they would be better off than McLaren (marginally or fantastically better off who knows?)

Simple math says the odds were not in their favor with the strategy they followed. If they matched McLaren's strategy they would have put themselves in a position of being no worse off in all 3 of the possible scenarios. Why did they choose to harm their chances to score max points, in a tight title fight? I suspect that Ferrari must have "needed" an advantage as their only hope of getting ahead of Hamilton because with no advantage they had no hope of getting past him. Kudos to Ferrari on trying to win the race, but a head scratcher none-the-less.

2. No way, no how Ferrari make this kind of a mistake with Brawn calling the shots!

3. Finally, nothing to do with Ferrari...Would anyone else out there like a mid-race re-cap from the Speed team? A few drivers made spectacular advances to the rear of the pack, I think it would be great to be inform as to why and how Weber, for one, went backwards so fast. Maybe the Speen team can give us some indicative lap times, reason for the fall of of performance, etc...
