It's been 48+ hours since the announcement and no one has brought up Danica as the replacement. I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you!

Very good! I had not thought of that one. Seriously, I would love to see Joey Logano in the car. The big questions: Does he have enough experience? Can he even drive a COT car? If I were JGR I would get him into as many cup races the rest of the year as possible (they were planning a few anyway). He has been more than fun to watch in the NNS, but with his lack of experience, the step to the COT is a big one. On the other hand, if not now, when. KB and DH are not likely to leave anytime soon. If they hire another young driver, when will JL get his shot?

Joey is the most naturally talented driver to come to NASCAR since Kyle Busch, perhaps even more so, as he's been absolutely flawless in every race I've seen him run. Surely helps to be in the dominating #20 Nationwide car but even in the Busch East Series, he used to drive like a computer, never making any mistakes and driving like a veteran. If there's anyone that can transition into the COT and make it look easy, it's him. I can't wait to see him drive that #20 Home Depot car next season. Maybe Mr. Gibbs will allow him to make a few starts at the end of this season in a 4th car too.

They are trying to play it off like they "aren't sure" but who else are they going to put in there? Even before Tony announced he was leaving, Joey was going to be in cup by 2010 at the latest. He is too talented to not move him up, especially with the program that JGR has going on now. If he was going to have some growing pains this is the best team to do that with. Regardless of their point standings this year the #20 team is still a top 10 team. I am not a fan of Toyota, but I am a fan of Joey Lagano....this kid is bound for greatness.

If Joe Gibbs doesn't put Boris Said in that ride(20), he nuts.  I know he's delt with 18year old football prospects all his life, but this is not football.  The "hire a young stud - flavor of the month fad - has run its course.  The folks who drop their disposable income on racing are middle aged.  The sons and daughters of those same people are broke.  If you worked at Subway, would you drop a weeks paycheck on a Joey Lagano T-shirt. Heck No.If Boris Said is the driver, Dad forks over the twenty's at the souviner stand.I think Joey should get a ride in a fourth gibbs ride, not the #20.
