I have an idea about a show, too. It involves world-class drivers in fast cars trying to out run each other on a variety of road courses all over the world or at least North America. There could be many auto manufacturers competing for some sort of trophy and bragging rights.

HOLY CRAP! THATS A GREAT IDEA! lol

Sadly, i have a feeling it may not work out...

What we'll do is this... we'll have tow trucks drag race each other for the rights to clean up a wreck. But not just any tow trucks... they're "customized!" They'll be cool customizations, gigantic plywood speaker boxes, and 40 inch spinners, sort of supervised by a guy that's ALWAYS po'd at everyone who works for him. And he's really impressed with himself, because he's meet some "players." And then, we'll have a couple of semi-literate race drivers chime in with how good they were, before the young guys ran 'em off, while adjusting their hairpieces while wearing old tobacco sponsor shirts.
And to top it all off... the host of the whole shebang will be some dude with a face for radio (me?)!!! And if we call it "reality"...

SOLD!

wink
(And I only watch speed for F1 and ALMS. The show promos don't leave much for the imagination. Except to use it for an expansion of the obvious.)

Nah! That's the craziest idea ever. It would never work. It would be better to follow the lives of the people who work on the cars that these drivers "race". That would be the only reason for the "race" itself... support for the brand new reality show:

"True Crew: The Real Life of PIT Guys"

Follow as the crew guys argue, makeup, travel in a trailer, sleep at a Days Inn, eat take-out, meet hot chicks, dump hot chicks, call their lonely wives, get yelled at by their lonely wives, ##### to their fellow guys about their controlling wives. Lots & lots of yelling! Oh what fun!

This of course leads into next year's big hit:

"Wives of the Pit: Home with Women who Love Pit Guys"

Lots & lots of yelling! And crying too! Awesome yet touching.

That's been the primary recipe for success at the top of motorsports for several years now. Call it the Jeff Gordon factor, because like it or not he really changed the way sponsors and owners looked at this thing we call racing.
