It seems both the IndyCar and NASCAR races are on Saturday night. Both starting at the same time, too. And, I cannot record one and watch the other, because they are both on Dish Network stations. I like both IndyCar and NASCAR racing.

What I probably do is watch the IndyCar race and listen to the NASCAR race on the radio. Chicagoland Motor Speedway is my local track. Besides, the NASCAR race is listed as being longer, so I will pick up the end of the race.

Is this a trick question?

The Indycar race will be over before the NASCAR race is even half way done. Besides, the last 10 laps are the only real ones that matter in a NASCAR race anyways. If you didn't get it, i'm watching Indycar.

Both races start at some god awful hour of Sunday morning here & as usual with SKY TV, NASCAR takes presidence. rolleyes The Indy Car will air at 5am after the live stockcars!

Who in hecks name is going to get up at 5am to watch a race that isn't even live?? Heck even the re run at a more sensible time on Sunday arvo is actually NOT that sensible, given it is up against the live & extremely popular BTCC & WTCC on other channels. I know I'll be watching the Worlds from Estoril. I'll be relegated to watching the indy car 'live' online.

I was going to say indy car scheduling on the SKY channel is often dubious, but heck they have 4 sports channels available to them which will all be showing some repeats throughout the night at the time they could be airing the indycar live! *shrug* long face tossers.

Doesn't everyone have 2 TV's side by side just for conflicts like this? Then it's just a matter of controlling the volume!

As well you can always watch the IRL race on the website.

Additionally it shouldn't be a problem for anyone with only one set ... everytime there's a yellow switch to the other channel! They'll hopefully offset yellow in one series with green in the other!

This happened earlier this year, right? As then I'll watch the IndyCar race more or less exclusively, flipping to NASCAR just to see where Dale Jr. is running. Bill Weber is simply unbearable on TNT, and the less I have to hear him the better.

I don't see the conflict. I have yet to say awake during an entire Chicago NASCAR race.

8:00 start time for NASCAR race probably = 8:15 green flag
8:00 start time for IndyCar race probably = 8:30 green flag

So I'll catch the start of the NASCAR race, flip over for the IndyCar race while following the NASCAR race online and then flip back to NASCAR when the IndyCar race is over.

Sadly, neither. I'll be hurtling 35,000 feet above the Earth on my way to Las Vegas for a convention on Saturday night. But like many others, if my night was free I'd choose the IndyCar race hands-down and then watch the finish of the NASCAR race. By the time I get to Vegas--10:30 Pacific--even the NASCAR race will be finished, right? smile
