Where are the people who all said, NASCAR doesn't care about the small teams, they only care about the Cup boys?

I think after a whole year of the COT in the Cup series there will be used cars that will be from the Cup series that the NW series could use at a much cheaper price. Used COT cars from cup would make the financial hit less painful. Of course the Cup based NW teams will build new cars and make the gap even greater between the NW only teams.

excuse my ignorance, but don't the Nationwide cars have a shorter wheel base and aren't they overall smaller cars? Couldn't that be why they can't use a cup car in Nationwide?

I probably don't know what I'm talking about, so I thought I'd throw that question out there to you so you could tell me all about it.

It's ok your wrong again, they are going to the same wheel base length when they switch. You lose again. Nice try though.

yet you had no idea of what you were talking about and it took hours before someone else came up with an article with something written about it.

I hope the COT never makes its way to the Nationwide series. Punishing all the small teams by making them build all new cars when it's tough enough to make money in the series is ridiculous. The economy is making it harder and harder for the teams to acquire sponsorship. Cup teams seem to be the only ones competitive in the series. Why even have the Nationwide series if you're only going to make them "look" different?

I agree that there should be more of an apparent difference between the 2 series. They seem to be getting more alike, rather then keeping their distance. Safety improvements and a one-car-fits-all concept will benefit the drivers and eventually the teams, but there needs to be some way for the 2 series to retain separate identities. Any ideas?
NASCAR has obviously taken the economy into account with the postponement of the Nationwide COT. There's nothing that says they won't do the same thing next year if the economy is still in the cellar. I haven't read anything that says they have set a hard date for the COT, so I think they are just going to take a wait-and-see attitude.

It seems to me if a COT chassis could be used in the Nationwide series and the Cup series in the future all that needs to happen is have enough old COT chassis out on the market which the smaller teams can buy and run. But right now there just aren't enough old chassis for that to be possible. I do think it should be different from the cup COT and NASCAR has said they want it to be. Give them lower HP different body and different suspension pieces.

There you go again and making an arrogant comment on something you know nothing about. Imagine that.

In the first place Chad knaus informed me a couple weeks ago about the NW COT being the same when they switch over. So wrong again. Someone knew more than you? Could it be?

Secondly, I was watching the race instead of wasting more time educating you.
