It's a little late but I did not see another thread on this race. Come on, again WSB is like 125 racing for adults. This race weekend was one of the best especially race 2 with Biaggi and Xuas not giving up an inch to each other.

Rossi shows up? Races Saturday in Holland and at Misano Sunday! They said he lives close but really.

Next year WSB gets even more teams, which maybe a good thing AMA riders and Melandri.

WSB's featured some of the most entertaining motorcycling racing out there for a while now. It's got familiar faces, healthy-sized fields and often really aggressive competition. It's great to see some of those geezers being thankful for what they've got at this stage of their careers, and taking their racing so seriously. As much as I enjoy MotoGP, the dinky starting grids, runaway races, and sense of entitlement that comes from some of the riders is disappointing.

I don't understand it when people sniff at WSB - it sure beats watching a parade!

Some good racing there, very much enjoyed. Great weekend of Assen on Sat, ferry Sat night back to UK, and WSB and BSB on Sun.... !

As for Rossi making it to Misano, it is only a 2 hour flight from Schipol to Bologna. And an hour either side by car.

Yes but I do think it was pretty cool, after a full weekend of racing and crashing himself, to want todeal with the heat and crowds. Maybe he was looking fo a ride next year. Maybe he went to say hello to Biaggi? No Rossi replica helmet on the scooter though.

Speaking of his helmet, if it was as hot as they say it was there, wasn't it strange he had that silly little open face helmet on the whole time? I mean couldn't he just lock it real quick to whatever bike he was riding?? Maybe he was on and off so much, he just kept it on. I don't know...

If you want a long, fast trip, then earlier in the season, Marco Melandri raced in China and finished the race at about 8am GMT on the Sun, and was at Oulton Park in Cheshire the next afternoon (Bank Holiday Monday) to present the winners in the BSB !

That's the fastest he's been all year!

Just kidding, Marco - we know it's been tough! cheese

Said it before and I'll say it again......WSB is the best two wheeled racing series. Great racing every week without all the whining that is so prevalent in GP. I don't even bother watching the GP races anymore. Next year will be even better with the addition of BMW, Aprilia and an American team and riders.

I don't know what happened, but I used to watch 125, 250, MotoGP, WSS, WSB and all the AMA stuff. Sometimes on the same Sunday downer Anyway, now it's pretty much WSB, MotoGP & AMA. WSS was crazy back when Jamie Whitham was racing.

While 125 & 250 have plenty of action, I see it more like college football. Youth and adrenaline over the skill and experience of the larger class. MotoGP put on a better show and is produced much better than WSB. Meaning, it just looks better on TV and their access is better, but week in week out the racing is closer in WSB AND the 2 race format is more compelling for lack of a better word.
Just look at Xuas this race or even Biaggi. The two race format is like having race 2 seasons in one.

World Superbike also Supersport is the best motorsports now. I love F1, but F1 is more then racing. It is the big show soap opera. Superbike is pure racing.

And what do you think of this man?
In the middle of the race, he decides to take a swim!
It cost me two seconds!

Well I enjoy WSB and WSS the most. I hate to say it but, isn't the close racing a result of a "spec tire" rule? I also think the double headers are awesome. I think the qualifying builds excitement with both qual and then a "last chance" superpole qualifier trumping all [sort of like dirt track racing]. DMG could learn alot. I know others have advocated WSB format for AMA. It seems right to me.
