Read the last FAQ on this linked page. Something missing? Hopefully SPEED can start treating AOWR like a major series soon.

Speed lists the series that have TV deals with, however I did just see ICS highlights from the Richmond race on Speed Report.

IndyCar is second only to NASCAR Cup on Speed Report highlights from the opening of the show, and De Spain and Miller are the only people talking about OWR on television.

I guess then Indycar is not concidered "top notch" racing. It's not mentioned with the others.

There are but three true sports--bullfighting, mountain climbing, and motor-racing. The rest are merely games.

This is a little odd, I must admit, because for once I am going to defend SPEED Channel. They don't list them because they don't air their races. All of the other series listed (except for NASCAR) are series whose races air on SPEED. I don't think the intent was to say that IRL is not a top-notch series, but if you want to see their races you will have to watch them on ESPN / ABC (painful as that may be).

The IRL ISN'T a top series. Not yet.

Pre-split it was. It rivaled F1 in many ways.

The IRL should recover. I just dont know how long it will take.

What do you thinK?

How long until the talent and racing is back on par with it's "pre-split" past?

One or two seasons?

Or will it take much longer?

I think that balancing the series more toward road racing will help but it will take at least until 2010 when they have the new chassis. I hope that it will be a modern looking car and will have the power and handling more on par with the DP01 chassis.

And when all else fails, BLAME SPEED!

“Crap programs” are anything that I don’t like.

“Because I don’t watch it” means that nobody watches it either.

Speed Report once again had the IndyCar race as the lead story.

The problem with SpeedTV.com is when you go to the Indycar page, it is a mess. Articles are out of order, and PCM sitting out Iowa three weeks ago is still the first thing you see?
