I wish I could, Lotus. :(
Same here...this'll be the first time in almost 20 years that I won't make it to an open wheel race...
But in the same light, I take comfort in knowing that I
DID make it to a major race weekend this year, to alt least keep that run alive....Florida was fantastic in March....

Castroneves is close to finalizing a deal to stay with Penske. Not a big surprise there.

On that note, TK has signed a 3 year extention with AGR according to this:

According to some people their a good camping crowd is assembling and still coming strong. Looks like another good crowd with yet another improvement in attendence.

Rain is forecasted for Sunday at Watkins Glen!

I hope the IRL lets the drivers start the race under green this time. It should be easier to run a race in the rain on a road course as opposed to a street course.

Just home for a few hours sleep and back to the track by 8:30 to catch Sat morning practise. Today was as awesome a day weather-wise as I can ever remember at the Glen, but rain is indeed looking better than 50-50 for Sunday!
The crowds were decent for Friday but this evening we took a cruise around the entire infield waiting for the 10PM fireworks and the campgrounds are looking pretty full compared to early this morning so expecting a decent turnout for Saturday. Hope rain doesn't deter the Sunday only folks...
Dixon looks unbeatable. Seems to be toying with the AGR guys...Marco and Kaanan tried to run with him and he left them more and more each lap. Helio's close but again seems to be working the car harder to keep up. Will Power looked smooth and fast, same for Wilson. Danica's struggling, Milka is bog slow. Cool seeing Jay Howard in a white car with a red #24 on it...reminds me of James Hunt's Hesketh that ran so well here in 74
Sorry, too tired to post photos...soon as I can.

Why is Jay Howard so far off the pace?
