I'd REALLY love to see the mfg's get a US version of WSBK going here. Adopt WSBK rules and run double headers. Using the same rules they wouldn't have to develop another bike for just the US series and would be a good stepping stone to get US riders onto the world championship stage.
And the rules DMG have proposed really do seem like a club racing series anyway.
Wow KK, you beat everyone to the punch with this news.
I say, get Live Nation to handle race promotions.
BTW news is still good on the outdoor MX front. That series will be handled by MXSports. Born out of the National Promoters Group, which has actually been handling it for the AMA for years. So basically nothing will change.
The keys will be unity amongst the OEMS, a stable rules platform and a series title sponsor. Get those three things and it will have a very good chance of success. Let's hope!!
Oh shucks, they have done it now, stood up to the NASCAR idiots. Awesome. Only they will not get to race at Fontana which is an ISC track. Thats OK though, cuz Rovals suck! I am genuinely happy about this. DMG is going to have to back pedal, redo there idiotic rules, or realize that they are going to have no top riders, no factory teams, and no one watching. I for one love it.
Another is, since NASCAR has Speed TV in their pockets, there maybe no TV coverage unless Vs. or someone not affiliated with NASCAR steps up.
What an opportunity to do away with a horribly officiated series and bring in a sensible one. I'm sure DMG's gears are whirring at the moment, as well as AMA's. If the series is valueless the AMA has nothing to sell.

This will probably mean that the manufacturers will be shut out of the Daytona 200 and DMG will run their own series there, right?
That's fine, they can run their whole series at that one track!

Wait, I thought the AMA had already sold it.
It wasn't final yet. The DMG has been dragging their feet on this for months. They weren't ready with the rules package. Now hopefully they're going to pay for their tardiness.
Looks Like the Boss has a problem on his hands.
I'm glad to see that the M.I.C. were able to get all the OEM's in a room and get all parties in the same direction for......once.
