Well, the action starts in 12 hours and it should turn out to be a good race... hopefully it stays dry.

Hayden is said to be running the p-engine the rest of the season and should have it dialied in better for this race. He normally runs good at this track.

Colin may keep the good form going and maybe pick up his first win? We can only hope...

Stoner and the Duc are back on track and should be able to fight for the win this year.

Rossi and Pedrosa will be fired up after getting their butts handed to them at Donington.

Bummer: No Spies at Assen as Capirossi is due to be back- that is good news though.

Hope the weather cooperates!! wink

I wouldn't consider 2nd place getting your butt handed to you.

That's what I thought... just like at Catalunya Pedrosa handed it both to Rossi and Stoner. A break away loss is considered getting owned.

FP1 is in the books 1. Stoner 2. Nicky 3. Pedrosa 4. Edwards 5. DeAngelis 6. Rossi. FP2 in a little less than an hour.

How is that really good news? Capirossi is on the downside of his career, Spies is just starting his in MotoGP. Time to put the Italian out to pasture.

ok about halfway through fp2, melandri is 4.5 seconds behind stoner. he has yet to break past 1:40. stoner is legit, under 1:36.1. he just needs to go.

Well it's shaping up to be another show down between Edwards & Hayden for the last podium spot thus dividing the loyalties of the board. In theory, Stoner can still win the championship.

Spies should have stayed. Capirossi is in the hospital again. Big highside. I really think Ben's MotoGP career would be better served at Ducati taking Melandri's spot rather than at Suzuki. I just don't feel that Suzi is going to develop a competitive bike ever at this level.

Yes JP, Stoner handed their arses to them at Donnington and will do it again at Assen. Dani probably hasn't got a chance at 2nd this year. HRC needs to put their future in someone else's hands. Not the right stuff. Reminds me of Biaggi with the opposite temperament. Just can't quite get the little extra. On the other hand at age 25ish Hayden is "old school" and may not make the transition to "new school". Interesting huh. He's gotta find a way to save his tires and his current riding style isn't helping. TC dialed in is the ticket.

Anyway, this should be a great race with 1/10th's separating riders through like 12th place. Lot of good battles back in the pack. Hope MotoGP shows a lot of onboard. Very fast track at lean. Cool stuff.

Pedro is as good as anyone not named Rossi... Stoner and the Ducati are a freakish match...

anyway... that was a big crash from Capirossi... perhaps we get to see Spies again this wekeend...

I completely forgot that this is a Saturday race - I'm glad you said that!
