Uh, if you make your living off your taste, you are surely dwelling in abject poverty. My sympathy. What's unemployment fetching these days?

Will pass on your offer of consultation - stay where you are, okay? cool grin

The good Zoot has done work for me. He is the bid'ness.

Never been an engineer - did my career as a technician that suffered because of them at times, though.

I'll bet you don't like Harleys either. Sounds like you need to stand before the McCarthy hearings, pinko LOL

Everyone I've been able to talk to is assuming Ducati is just trying to test the waters and see how their riders will react. None of them ride Ducatis but most find it hard to believe they didn't tell Boulder to wait on their commitment to WSB. If there is to much outcry they can always promote WSB and MotoGP.

Boulder has money... in hand. That is why they are allowed to play.

Look at the Sterlingarda team (forget the actual name). Next year they are losing Xaus and Biaggi, and haven't done much with Biaggi this year. You think they have their budget sorted for 2009? They are probably trying to just figure out how to stay alive.

Zoot, Ducati's are actually well engineered. And a real engineer (which I am not) will probably find Desmo more interesting/appealing than the typical Jap appliance.

Zoot, I will admit to considering you as being taste-challenged when you let it be known you thought the V-Max was something less than awful-looking.

Well, you now have a new pig to put some lipstick on!! My August Cycle World arrived today and it features the new V-Max. This is the New King of Ugly, easily stealing that crown from the hideous old Max and the KTM SuperDuke. Really, it appears they did everything they could think of to hang uglies on it. Bet you like, though. LOL

The only rational thing H-Z has put forth was that he likes Harley Davidsons. cool smirk

Ironically, since this thread was started the situation of Ducati coming back to race in America might have taken a turn for the better IF the MIC proposal prevails. Real Superbikes - honking 1200cc Desmos that race at the highest level, not the dumbed-dowm DMG "superbikes".
