If you are reading that he tested the bike for 3 days, yes. I haven't seen times today but for a guy that hasn't been on a GP bike for 2 years he was pretty quick, about a second slower than the D'Antin boys after 20 laps as I recall.

I'd be glad to see Gibernau back in the game, everyone loves to jump on the 'give the new riders a shot' bandwagon but we need more action at the front.

Sete ran a 1:52 and change at the "conclusion" of testing yesterday. Hey I for one loved the battle between Giber and Rossi. Those were some good times.

Rossi will just give him another Zodiac Mind #### and he'll be psychologically scarred again, ending his "comeback".

I think Rossi would be relieved to see another 'geezer' among the kids.

2 years away and Sete' turns a 51:7 after 3 days of testing... that is faster than any race lap by Elias or Guintoli and about dead even with 2 of the 3 flying laps that Melandri had in the race...

bring him back... if his head is right he will do fine...

According to Superbikeplanet, Suppo says Melandri will be back bext year so no Nikki and no Sete on factory Ducatis next year.

BTW....According to the times posted, Fabrizio was quicker testing next years Superbike than Sete was.

Keep in mind, souperbikeplanet is referring to press release that Ducati put out in regards to Suppo being asked if they were talking to Hayden. Melandri has a contract, but if both parties to the contract agree to break it there is no difficulty in doing so. Can anyone figure why both parties would NOT want out?

In recent years if you are looking for inside information into the GP world SOUP is not the place to be, at least in my eyes. Fine for AMA but rumors and information from other sites are all I see regarding GP.

It was from an interview with Suppo last week not from a press release. Maybe you should read it?

My apologies - where I read it posted elsewhere someone said 'if it was said to the press you know it's true, right?', and I read it as a press release. Everything else I said stands.

no, i got the test part. it was there in black and white . i was wondering if they were hinting at a return to gp racing or just that he may be a bike tester now. the boy quit in his prime. he's got more if he wants it
