Nicky going to run the pnengine @ Donington...
http://www.crash.net/motorsport/motogp/news/165093-0/hayden_to_ride_pneumatic_at_donington.html
Crash.net -
Repsol Honda's 2006 world champion Nicky Hayden will ride the factory's new pneumatic-valve RC212V all through practice, qualifying and racing during the three days of the British MotoGP at Donington Park, Crash.net has learned.
The 26-year-old American will have two of the new high-revving bikes at his disposal, and will not alternate between the pneumatic-valve machine and the existing valve-spring factory bike.
Gotta try something new at this point...

That's good news, thanks for posting it GNG. Hey, even if engine grenades in every session it won't hurt Hayden's season. I agree, there's no reason NOT to try.

it seemed to help hayden out for fp2 as well, we'll have to see if he can continue this, but what I noticed was a slower max. speed than pedrosa. hmm, that is quite odd, my guess is not hitting the higher rev ceiling. it is a work in progress, and a good one at that. i found myself wondering what would pedrosa do for next year with the pneumatic, considering he is doing very well with the springs as of right now.

Nicky said it hits harder than the spring engine, and isn't easier to ride, but fits his style better. The top speed could be many things, but Dani will always accelerate faster unles Nicky has about 15-20 hp more than him. You cant beat physics and Dani weighs as much as a 12 yr. old girl.

Certainly nothing wrong with that...if you're a twelve-year-old girl.

Gotta give credit where credit is due, though. That girl can ride.
