At first I was thinking that this seems like it would be Aspar's last choice but looking at the Ducati, I don't know if he'd want that considering how poorly everyone not named Stoner has done on it. It wouldn't be good for a guy like Bautista to come in and struggle on a bike like that. Of course, the Kawasaki isn't setting the world on fire either.

Yamaha would be a great score but who knows if they can supply another bike. If they could that would easily be the best choice for Martinez. Still I have to wonder if Bautista is even ready to step up. He seems to be a little too wild and inconsistent to make the jump at this point. In my opinion Kallio is better prepared at this point than Alvaro.

Doesn't make any sense. They could have had Camel to back a third team but they said an extra rider would slow improving the bikes. Hopkins has had a couple of good finishes but overall they seem to be treading water. Maybe they decided it was a mistake not to expand and are learning from it.
