you know... i have been pretty quiet about most of this DMG stuff... frankly, i really do not much care what happens to the AMA, but, this is pretty draconian...

the issue will be if the factory guys boycott, the privateers will not... it will mean nothing if there is not a united front...

plus, you will have "fans" like KK calling them ####### for not riding...

Here's how it will play out... If it rains and the factory guys decide not to race, but the privateers do, the factory guys will be ####### for not riding. If the privateers ride in the rain (and they will, cuz it's a chance to be a hero) and one of them gets seriously injured (or killed), the factory guys will be visionaries.

Edmonson is a idiot. I can't believe that he basically refuses to listen to the top riders in "his" series. Dosen't he know that he's turning pretty much everyone against him? He didn't listen to Parriott and look what happened.

Edmondson is looking at money - period. There is no 'good of the sport' attitude, it is bottom dollar. You can tell me again how wonderful the people he's bring with him are, I think it's pathetic.

At this point I hope the factories walk and DMG is left with a big bag of nothing.

Edmonson has a huge problem. He spent a whole ton of DMG's money to buy a race series that has been limping along, but surviving, for years. Instead of trying to stabilize it, gain the trust of the players and then moving in a different direction with the series... he has decided to just say screw you I'm driving the bus now, get off if you don't like it.

Keep in mind he has higher ups to answer to. He isn't going to let some pissy little factory guy (or factories) get in his way. He can always get riders #455 and #221 to ride. Give 'em some nicknames and he's golden!!

He's got a bigger problem there, though. He wants there to be less emphasis on the factories and more on the riders. He wants to have personalities, rivals, some drama if you will. He wants to have people pick a rider and stick with them no matter what (ala NASCAR) so they can stock up on tons of merchandise.

Well, genious, now you've got it but instead of them deciding to rival one another, they've gone after you. And I'll stick with the riders before your sorry @$$ any day.

DMG are crazy nascar does not race in the rain on road cources with doors and roll cages but it is ok for motercycles to race on the same cources like sears they must not care about safty that much and all that talk about 1000 sbk being to fast and unsafe is BS.

Spies just flat out called them liars,I LOVE IT.I hope it rains like pouring pi$$ out of a boot.Mladin and Spies are acting like they both know they wont be around next year and they are going to gig DMG at every turn.So far DMG has basically said Mladin is ignorant and misinformed after his tirade on the podium a couple of weeks ago and now Spies has called them liars.This is entertaining.
