Now I get to watch ESPN screw up something as simple as a tape delayed race though so the fun never stops.
That was beyond odd! I had slept through the NW race since I had to work a few commits so I watched the delayed race and of course they skipped over all the VL so rewatched the last few laps and caught all the VL/controversy. So kept it on to go into the IRL race and went "WHA?" Hearing live audio but they're showing the pre-race stuff. Talk about a hot mess! The IRL fans seem to be calm, if they pulled a tape delay race and started the pre-race with live race audio on NA$CAR fans, there would have been 20 pages asking for heads!

First, congratulations Brad! He's been knocking on the door for weeks now, so good on them for finally pulling one out. I have a feeling it might be the first of many.
Second, Rusty Wallace WTH??? Ambrose got loose?? Sure looks like Stephen hit him to me. If he can't call it as it is he needs to just keep his mouth shut rather than insulting our intelligence. We've all got eyes. We can see what happened even if he can't.
On the Stremme/Bowyer deal... I can see both sides. It's the closing laps, it's for position, Bowyer had every right to try and defend that position. I can't blame Streemme for moving him out of the way, though, either. I find it ridiculous that he was saying he had the 00 breathing down his neck as he'd just driven by him with relative ease. He had no exuse for bumping Bowyer except he wanted the position. I would have had more respect for him if he'd owned it.
NASCAR Now just showed video of Kyle sprinting away from Jamie Little as she was trying to talk to him. Pretty funny stuff. Jamie's standing at the back of his hauler and he expodes out of the back of it and sprints right by her with his little press guy trying to keep up.
Wonder if he'll try this again next year?

“People ask me all the time, where does he stack up, comparatively? I’ve seen every great driver drive, I’ve seen every great driver win their championships. In my mind, this driver, this crew chief, this team is the all time best - bar none. I saw Petty, I saw Earnhardt, I’ve seen Gordon, I’ve seen Bill Elliott, Rusty Wallace, Terry Labonte, this is the best.”- DW on Jimmie Johnson

He blinked, not Bernie's fault. Not Ambrose's fault. Rusty, either call it as it happens or shut yer trap.
The other booth guys said it as it was why didn't rusty? it would have been great if the cameras had panned over to rusty & then we could have seen his reaction of what his stupid son did, steven you have wrecked about 5 races that Ambrose had a chance of a top 5, watching the race from the computer you could see marcos having fun on the track, his car was like it was on rails, he was driving it realy good, but steven the wrecker came to haunt him again, so much for the last few races when wallace was getting good reults, he has started to do his thang & wreck agin?
you guys seemed to have heard steven say he din't do it, but i never saw that after the race.
If steven said what i read on here , then he is just as bad as his old man?
Ambrose didn't get what he wanted , but at Sandown in the V8'S THE FORDS SURE DID, in big measure, & Mark Winterbottom ( frosty ) is sitting on top of the championship, 1st time FPR have a leader in the championship It was a
ford white wash for the whole 3 days. & they even had the new falcon racer going around the track for demo runs.
Even tho it was a cold & rainy daty i enjoyed myself on Monday, but there will be no pics as i got bumped as i was getting the camera ready for some racing car shots & the camera landed in a puddle of water & mud. that was the end of that camera

But to see the 3 ford drivers on the podim was great, when you guys check the results you won't find a holden in the tiop 4 all weekend
& still Ambrose is mentioned very fondly by the commentators at neraly every race the championship goes to, it is mainly because he has so many records that still haven't be beaten
Congrats to Brad k he had missed out on a few wins this year , so this will be sweet for him

NOW I KNOW HOW THE WHEEL CAME OFF this is from JTG web site!
AMBROSE, KINGSFORD FORD REBOUND AT NASHVILLE FOR TOP 20 FINISH Updated: 06/09/08

06/09/08
LEBANON, Tenn. – When Marcos Ambrose was crashed by another driver during Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 300, the Kingsford with Hickory team didn’t give up. When his left-rear wheel fell off leaving pit road, they didn’t give up. Despite a litany of problems, JTG Racing was rewarded with a 19th-place finish.
A car driven by Steve Wallace struck Ambrose in the second turn at the Nashville Superspeedway, sending the No. 59 Ford Fusion to pit road for repairs. In the haste to remain on the lead lap, the team failed to replace the lug nuts on one tire. “First we got wrecked, then we made a mistake on pit road,” said crew chief Gary Cogswell. “It was a pretty discouraging day, but we kept at it and got a Top 20 out of it. We felt like we had a solid Top 10 car, but to come back and finish after the trouble we had, that’s not too bad.” The team made several repairs to the battered race car during the caution period. The frenzied atmosphere prompted the jack man to drop the jack – a signal to Ambrose to leave pit road. The problem was, work wasn’t done. “You’re in such a panic in that situation,” Cogswell said. “The pace car’s coming, the spotter is yelling and everyone is trying to fix the car as quickly as possible. Things like that are going to happen in that kind of situation. It’s really nobody’s fault. It’s a product of the situation.” By persevering, Ambrose and the Kingsford Ford managed to improve one spot in the Nationwide Series standings. They head to the Kentucky Speedway for Saturday’s race ranked 14th.
“Once your car is torn up that badly, you spend the rest of the day racing against the damage,” Cogswell said. “That’s really frustrating for everyone, and it makes the driver work really hard. There was significant damage. We probably lost 20 percent of our aerodynamics. It’s hard enough to race with 100 percent. Marcos worked really hard to bring this car home in 19th place. It’s not great, but it could have – and probably should have – been a lot worse.” The Kingsford team heads to the Kentucky Speedway this Saturday. For JTG Racing, it’s a chance to rally from tribulation. “We’ve had fast cars and we’ve got another one in the shop,” Cogswell said. “We’ll get it ready for Kentucky and see if we can’t turn this thing around. One thing’s for sure, we won’t give up.” FAST & FUN FACTS: - Ambrose is 14th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series standings with two Top-10 finishes in 15 starts for JTG Racing, 26 points behind teammate Kelly Bires in the No. 47 Clorox Ford.- Ambrose has earned $465,225 this year.- Brad Keselowski won the Federated Auto Parts 300. David Stremme was second, followed by David Reutimann in third, Clint Bowyer in fourth and David Ragan in fifth.- The Meijer 300 is next Saturday night at 8:30 at the Kentucky Speedway.
