I agree if there's a chance to ride in MotoGP he'd be foolish not to go for it. I know I wouldn't think twice about it. But his style and Hayden's in my opinion best suit WSB. However based on age he does have time to go down that path in a couple of years when MotoGP doesn't pan out.
I think Spies best chance for a ride is on the Suzuki besides Capirossi if Vermulen doesn't improve. It would be interesting to see Spies on a Suzuki in WSB but not enough money in that series for the greedy ba$tard.
Not saying there isn't a greed factor but what would you do if you had the buzz surrounding you ? You'd take it while you could and sort the rest out later. I'm also not disagreeing about the WSBK thing. I think he's much better suited for that series. He's young and has the opportunity to go the premier series and test it out. When MotoGP comes calling you'd better take it. He can always go to WSBK in a few years. Corser,Biaggi,Bayliss,Haga,Tamada,Checa,Xaus,Laconi,Kagayama,Nieto,Lavilla,Muggeridge,Rolfo (28 years old, 19th in the standings..ummm) not exactly spring chickens. He needs to make this move now.
The odds are against it panning out for anybody when they reach MotoGP.
