Are you sure they didn't mean "pumping and engine" ?

That might be what they ment, the track official that told us did not go into any details when we asked him how its done so that got the crew and i wondering how they do it, can you tell me a little on how its done?
the whole reason we want to know is because we are not allowed to run anything more then a 350 but we know that there is a little group of guys there that are running engines that are bored out and we dont want to cause problems buy claiming there engines so we was looking for a more discrete way of catching them breaking rules.
I called the track official and we miss heared him it was P&G;'ing the engine easily done i guess anyone with info on this method?
from what i understood they disable the valves of an engine and attach the meter but thats all i got anymore info would be apriciated.
thanks

They unhook the rockers. Put the pump into the spark plug hole and push it through. The air pushes a piston up leaving an o-ring up on the scale and they figure the size from that. Old timers use to put wax in the head on the valves so it would measure smaller in that hole. That's why today they tell you what hole their pumping and after the engine has run.
