first off, i'm not here to accuse fellow fans of rigging the vote. by now every fan site i have visited is got a system in place where there is rapid voting. what is being rigged is the fact that NASCAR claims only 250k vote have been cast. they stated on air that 34k votes were cast in a 24 hour period. those numbers are wwwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy low. i've chatted with Robby Gordon supporters and Bill Elliott supporters and it seems likely that those numbers should be surpassed already (by Bill and Robby alone).
like i said, rapid voting is available and NASCAR has stated that you can vote as many times as you like. therefore we are all on equal playing fields. the beef is with NASCAR and how there fixing the outcome.

What reason could NASCAR possibly have for fixing the vote?
NASCAR does plenty of creative rule application, but I don't think this is one of those situations.

How about this reason. Kasey Kane gets voted in and he just happens to have one of the biggest sponsors in NASCAR. Isn't Bud the official beer of NASCAR? Now lets say that Joe Nemechek would have gotten voted in. Boy, that Furniture Row would have been happy. . .
Not saying it was rigged, but I see good motivation for the rigging right there.
interesting how NASCAR doesnt release the official #'s when it comes to voting results. they simply say to us, "Oh look, its Kasey Kahne who won". show some #'s nascar, oh yeah, you cant because you rigged the vote.

May I assume that had Bill Elliot won you would be making the same accusations? never mind, don't answer that.
vote total did seem way low. I know I voted 20 times or so for 1 driver while waiting on a program to finish.
Ballot box stuffing was probably taken into account. They can tell where you are voting from. Some contest/vote systems even disqualify your votes completely if you vote more than once.
