Compare Fry's "guarded" , if not ambivalent, non-committal comments on renewing Rubens' contract to the public comments he made about wanting to
re-sign Jenson.

He's certainly someone we want on our side.
It was under Fry's watch that they lost Toet, BMW's current head of aerodynamics and the debacle of the RA107.
Under both instances, he didn't come out smelling like roses in terms of straightforwardness and positive sincerity.
The only thing I've given Fry partial credit for is getting Brawn to come to Honda.
He hasn't shown the Pat Symonds or Jean Todt like leadership in harnessing stability and positive progress for the team so far and its this sort of
behavior that doesn't win him any brownie points from the Honda fans (not that he's looking for them).
On a separate note:
The typical disrespectful fanboy venom that's been hurled at Rubens on this board is so pale in graciousness compared to the longterm wise perpective by a veteran in the business like Mark Hughes and unfortunately, is so utterly common these days. I find that getting a good discussion without partisanship is almost as extinct an art these days as the do do.

The Honda doesn’t currently give him access to that podium, but he’s still pushing, still fast enough to give Jenson Button a seriously hard time. Fifteen years in, that’s quite something, isn’t it?
Being able to even be kind to someone not on the team that you're cheering for seems almost like it's a lost concept. What is that ? Fanboys rule and unite ?
