To whomever reads this:

This sucks. The financial juggernaut that has become F1 and Ecclestone's FOM claims another victim. And to what end? I will truly miss Super Best Friends, because for me, THIS was the essence of racing.

I grew up in a small Louisiana town where sultry weekend nights were spent in the pits of the local dirt track, a far cry from Monza or Monaco! But the passion was there. The pride was there. And the joy was there. There, in those pits, with engine heat roasting my forearms, red Louisiana dirt caking my clothes, and the joyous sting of race fuel in my eyes. And the smile on my face. Call it reminisce, call it grassroots, but to win that 30 lap feature was just as important as any trophy the Prince of Monaco or Sultan of Bahrain could put in my hands.

I was there at Indy in 2004 when Sato San stepped up on the podium at Indy for Honda. His smile didn't stop at the edges of his mouth! And that same smile was wrapped around him with that first Super-Aguri point in Spain, '07! What does it all mean? Who knows. But Team Super-Aguri isn't dead to me.

Cheers, Super Best Friends.
