This is a far cry better news than Sony making everyone buy $400 playstations in order to play; F1. I like Codemasters.. don't get me wrong. But, I really wish SimBin GTR/GTR2 would have won the liscense .. The GTR series physics and experience is TO DIE FOR! Check out this 3x screen featruing GTR2.

Thats great news, way better than EA getting the rights, codemasters knows how to make a good console "sim".

sim bin makes PC sims, this codemasters F1 deal is for the console side of things, if you want a F1 PC sim try rfactor and MMG 07.

Codemasters doesnt know how to make a proper handling racing game.

all their games have cars that pivot on a central axis. Toca and former colin mcrae games were still pretty good but the cars just never felt right.

The GRID demo came out yesterday. The cars handle exactly like the ones in DIRT, despite you know...being on pavement. I'm going to wait and see about this.

From what I've read, I think you're all right...
I have a 3 type of games..
F1 2002 and F1 Challenbe by EA
also have Toca 2 and Toca 3 (by codemasters)
and also SimBim's GTR...
I think it's safe to say that we're all glad that a new F1 Sim game is way over due!!!!

My impressions are that the Toca Race Drivers are really fun to drive, altought may be a tadd unrealistic....too arcady.....(not to say that the new F1 game will be)

As far as Sims....I think SimBin's GTR is unreal.. Grat graphics, great sound and overall fantatistic sim racing...

I'm surprised I haven't worn out my F1C disk yet..It still gets a lot of use. However the graphics are tired and the sounds are a little weak....

All that being said, I'll be the first in line to get this new game by Codemasters!

If you want F1C with better graphics and sound, just get Rfactor.

I have in the past tried the different RH 200@ versions. I have heard of R-Factor but havent' tried it.
I"m also limited because of my PC's age... only have a 1.7 GHZ processor with a 128 mB vid card.

If you can play F1C on high details and have at least 512mb ram,you should be able to play Rfactor on low details which is still 100 times nicer looking than F1C. You can download the demo and try it for free, it comes with the 07 F1 BMW's. If thats playable than mods like CTDP 2005 low res pack and MMG f1 07 will play even better. Its made by the same group as F1C, ISI ,so its basically the same physics engine. Also 256MB vid cards are less than 100$.
