Grand Prix-Our favorite 1966 James Garner, film will be on Turner Classic Movies 8 May 8pm EDT. Consider it the non SPEED F1 broadcast of the week end.

I am sure you had something to say, but, using those colors made me just skip your post.

It would be nice if they had the Speedvision additional interviews etc.

And when all else fails, BLAME SPEED!

“Crap programs” are anything that I don’t like.

“Because I don’t watch it” means that nobody watches it either.

Being broadcast on May 8th. Does that mean the film ends sometime on May 13th?
The filmmakers of that film refused to hire an editor.

Best racing movie of the sixties most groundbreaking in a lot of ways. Phil hill drove the camera car a, modified GT-40, James Garner regularly beat the regulars back from the shooting . It's the movie that got me hooked on F-1. Le Mans is the best ever although "the Racers" with Kirk Douglas,Ceasar Romero and Gilbert Roland had some spectacular shots from '50's Grand Prix circuits when they were really hairy

Frankenheimer mentioned about The Racers because if you see Kirk Douglas turning the steering wheel like a maniac. Grand Prix was set in real world location where F1 were racing in Europe such as Monza, Monaco and Spa.

Without a doubt the very best done racing movie ever made.. Lemans was good, Grand Prix was awesome. And of course dating myself. I saw it in the theater as a kid and fell even more in love with racing than I already was, thanks to many trips to Limerock with my Dad. And another memory was of leaving the theater after seeing Bullit
in my dad's Charger R/T 440 and asking if we could trade for a Mustang.. HeeHee he wasn't amused
