guess you don't follow the 125-250 races RR , maybe they only show the Italian wins there . Pedrosa is one of the very very best ..... everywhere on the track . Last year he had a faulty bike but in the past he has shown how good he is when the corners get crowded , its not his fault that others cant keep up with him when he has a good day....Too bad so many here act like they have a very short memory and draw their conclusions only from a race or two or a season
RR - Didn't you know that successes and strengths on a 125 and 250 bike automatically translate to the bigger bikes? LOL
Dosed - You can't make blanket statements like this. His 250 days are over. Those successes, which were impressive, aren't worth a dime anymore. Of course DP is one of the best, that's why he's the number 1 rider on a top MotoGP team. However, when he's heads up with one of the other top riders, he can't pass them under braking. Yes, when he gets away early, he's tough to beat. But in a real dog fight he hasn't shown much at this level.

Man what is wrong with this forum? How can you reply to a post that came after yours? Some of my posts are disappearing too.
That
was weird.
Hopefully if Pedrosa gets the WC, he'll have: 1) come out on top in a last-lap battle, 2) gotten a wet-race podium. But if he isn't the best on the brakes or in the wet, he's very far from being bad or even mediocre.

That's a fact, although to read all the Hayden championship you'd have thought they gave style points too. To win the championship should be the goal of every competitive rider. To win races and lose the championship still makes you the loser.

Or he may just be the Spanish version of Biaggi? He was second best a lot of times too. Lorenzo already seems to fit the bill a bit better than Pedro. I guess we'll just have to see the verdict on DP.
I still say he will never win a title.

"RR - Didn't you know that successes and strengths on a 125 and 250 bike automatically translate to the bigger bikes? LOL" still saying Pedrosa isn't good on the brakes or in a "dog fight" is just stupid . Yeah , if he was good( constantly good) in 125 and 250 he's good on any bike ( the other way around might not work) . Its obvious by now now that he can handle the physical part and if you was paying attention in the past you should have no doubts now ............ the bike needs a little tweaking and the championship is his

Yes Lorenzo has gotten to a better start then Pedrosa. But you have to admit that Lorenzo has come into the series on a bike that is better suited for a 250 rider. The Yamaha he's riding has been developed by a multi-time champion and has gotten lucky that Michelin has stepped up its tires for this season. If Lorenzo came into the series last year his results would have been different. He's a very good rider and maybe the next best rider but time will tell. Don't count Pedrosa out yet.
But all in all I'd like to see Rossi win one or two more championships before he retires.

That's exactly who I think Pedrosa is right. Both won multiple 250 championships, both had early success in the premier class. Both have short man's syndrome. Both were bad teammates. Only difference is that on a good day Biaggi could battle and get the better of Rossi. Pedrosa has yet to do so in a straight fight. Still, it's really early in Pedrosa's career and he can still address his weaknesses. I wouldn't write him off for a title just yet, but Lorenzo's Moto GP career has gotten off to a stronger start than Pedrosa's did.
