I'm hoping motogp.com will post the FP2/QP videos, as they did for Qatar, especially since the Euros will be on the way to or at work about the time of the live video.

The Lorenzo high-speed was a big one - will be a shame if injury now rules him out following his start to the season. More pics here: http://www.crash.net/news_view.asp?id=162775&pid=0&cid=6&news=y

Top speeds from FP1 (kph). Definitely not the all-telling story, but the disparities are interesting. Curious how the Tech3 pnengines are so much slower than the Fiat bikes... wink

Guintoli Tops 204 MPH In China
five bikes over 200 on friday
by evan williams
Friday, May 02, 2008

Pedrosa's Honda was clocked at 202.5 mph on Friday.
Blazing top speeds are the rule of the day in China ... Sylvain Guintoli's Ducati was clocked at 204.6 miles per hour on Friday.

Diminutive Dani Pedrosa hit 202.5 and Casey Stoner's Desmosedici was timed at 202.3. The other two Ducati riders (Marco Melandri and Toni Elias) also topped 200 miles per hour as well, making five bikes over the "double ton".

Americans John Hopkins and Nicky Hayden look to be lacking in the top speed department. The two were fifth and sixth in lap times but both were at eight miles per hour down on Guintoli's speed.

Everyone knew that the Ducatis would be fastest again this year. However, it is surprising to see that Pedrosa is 6 mph faster than Hayden at top speed. Trap speeds are always questionable. Top speed on the long straights at China, though is pretty hard to attribute to anything other than the speed of the bike. Anyone have any ideas on why the disparity between two factory Hondas at top speed?

^What he asked?

Well I am not sure where ya all have been but, Pedrosa has been 6-8mph faster at every race this yr so far. It seems to be the only real difference in lap times between Nicky & Danni IMO. Anyone got insight as to WHY?

BTW, at Estoril Pedro's top speed during the race was 312.8 and LTD's was 311.4...

that is only .87 MPH...

i am not sure where KK has been, but, that is not quite 6-8 MPH...

I'd be willing to bet Lorenzo will be riding on Saturday and Sunday. May not be at the front, but I think he'll able to ride through the pain to an extent.
