Just having a little fun. I don't believe I referred to JM unkindly.
Get over yourself, please. Everybody has their own opinion about all of these incidents. Your interpretation or viewpoint is no more valid than mine.
Sorry, but with this board's crappy software and lack of usable emoticons, it's hard to tell sarcasm or "Just Funnin'" in the text.
That said, I've got good eyes, a decent knowledge of physics, as well as the dynamics of racing, and I Don't let fandom get in the way of how I see an incident.
I am a fan of Good Clean Hard racing, and when I see incidents, it's usually pretty apparent as to who/how things should be faulted.

Creative ... in other words, your opinion or viewpoint is more valid than mine and apparently, everyone else's.
There are lots of people on here with 20/15 vision, a foundation in the fundamentals of physics and as much "seat time" as you. Get off the throwaway fanboy comments please ... at least until you know which poster is which.

There was no line violation. If there was, NASCAR would have called it. End of story.

I never said "More Valid than Any Individual X".
There are Obviously many fans who get up in arms regardless of what ACTUALLY happened in MOST incidents.
I don't act that way.
Of course, since I'm fairly new, you wouldn't know that about me, so I'm not offended.
I ask that you also not take offense to a differing view of (something? not sure what we're discussing exactly) things just because I don't have a massive post count on this board. I DO respect experience, but I don't think I've attacked anyone, yourself included, who has made any actual sense, even though you've teased me on a couple of occasions so far.
I'm not giving anyone "the Finger", nor do I expect any "e-bullying".

He made the pass above the line. He did go under to get position but I'm not too sure about the specifics of the rule.
I do think, however, that settling a race on a stupid call like that is absurd. I didn't complain when Jr. did it in 04(?) and I won't complain now. Did anyone watch the Georgetown vs. Villanova basketball game this year? The refs called a touch foul with .3 of a second left to give Georgetown 2 freethrows, which they converted and won the game. That was the worst call of the season, and calling Busch below the yellow line would have been stupid, too.

I need a reminder, why does the yellow line rule exist again?

Because too many wrecks were caused by cars, at THAT Great Speed, touching the "Flat" and getting De-Wedged as they came off the banking, which would throw them back up into traffic. True, the straights aren't as banked, but if you go down there, who's to say that you don't get stuck down there when it's time for corner entry?
Most of the "original BIG Ones" were caused due to cars passing on the flat and getting caught out as they entered the turn.
PS, the rule is ONLY at Daytona and Talladega.
Of course at Martinsville, the Curb is the "Enforcer".

I don't believe Kyle passed Jimmie from under the yellow line. When they passing occured they were above the yellow line, so no position was gained from going under the line.
