He did had tryouts for the Atlantic Series this past February. There is 1 more round and he is very familiar with Brands Hatch since
he ran the F3 Euro Series in 2006. I can see him coming back
for 1/2 of the season in the Euro Series. If Jonathan gives it all
for the next season, then GP2 scouts will evaluate his potential
for a test drive in a GP2 machine.
I hope so but it seems GP2 is all about connections, last names, and bank accounts. Look at all the filmilar last names that came through GP2 and guys like Hamilton who have tons of money backing him up. True Speed came through GP2 but I believe there is a large stereotype on US drivers and why they would make it to F1. Speed was always seen as rough, immature, and ignorant which I feel is a reflection of the demographics which F1 mostly takes part in (Asia/Europe).
As I posted before even Peter Windsor on SPEED and F1 Magazine said Speed suffered unfairly and some of it was due to his nationality.
Of course Charlie Kimball might become the next driver for the team
USA driver if Summerton departs.
Any thoughts once Summerton leaves team USA on the next potential
drivers besides Kimball?
I know Buddy loves A1GP. I know everyone would love to see Graham Rahal or Hunter-Reay to race a couple times before the Indycar season begins. Didn't Rahal race for team Lebanon before though? I wouldn't be surprised if Kimball does well in F3 that he'll look for a seat in GP2.
