no doubt that was pretty cool to watch... i am sure he heard the collective gasp of the crowd...

we do that stuff pretty regularly on the mini's... much easier to get away with on those little bikes... i did that exact same thing on my big bikes once... i am sure it did not look near as stylish and i did not have the good sense to ham it up afterwards, but, i felt like a freakin' hero when i was back in the pits...

That will get the adrenalin pumping. Did that on my ZX-7 once, though it felt way more violent than that looked, and it poped me up out of the seat when it finally grabbed. I was nowhere near that calm as I rode back to the pits, and I couldn't sit down for 45 minutes afterwards because I was so pumped. I went to see the cornerworkers at lunch to see if anyone caught it, and got a bit of a standing ovation. One of the highlights of my (short)roadracing "career".

Did ya catch how Nicky Hayden performed the same heroics at the spot during the race?

I thought Nicky's was much better. It was during the race plus he finished, unlike Colin.
