BAM merging? Petty? BDR?

All I can tell you is that I emailed Dave Moody a question to ask Evernham on his weekly segment on Sirius Speedway and Ray's answer was "we lease engines to BAM and provide a little bit of engineering help." That's not the exact quote but pretty close to what I recall him saying.

This was posted on the KSR website this morning

It's been confirmed by someone with direct access to Beth Ann. BAM Racing will be driving Toyotas and have a working association with BDR.

Was it posted on the actual website? Or was it on another message board?

Anything on the BAM site or boards?

So far it is offically hearsay coming from several different sources, including someone who saw a Camry at the BAM Racing shop.

Photos will proabably leak out this weekend.

What surprises me here is not BAM, but Schrader. Given Schrader's "friendship" with Mikey, and the fact that BDR is swirling the bowl (in cup), you would have thought the alliance would be between BAM and MWR, not BDR. Not sure if Mikey needs and R&D;team, but this could benefit both.

Who knows? I know Mikey gets his engines from TRD and I've heard Toyota had to approve the deal between BAM and BDR which is not a merger but more along the lines of what GEM and RGM have or Gibbs and HoFR. Or going way back in the day to the old R-A-D alliance.

Once CAT leaves, BDR will be dead in the water.

Bill Davis had trucks finish in the top three in the championship standings for the last two years. Last year they finished 2 & 3.

People ask me all the time, where does he stack up, comparatively?  I’ve seen every great driver drive, I’ve seen every great driver win their championships.  In my mind, this driver, this crew chief, this team is the all time best - bar none.  I saw Petty, I saw Earnhardt, I’ve seen Gordon, I’ve seen Bill Elliott, Rusty Wallace, Terry Labonte, this is the best.”- DW on Jimmie Johnson

Microsoft, through the Microsoft U.S. Small Business Team, has just become one of the sponsors of the #49 Sprint Cup Series team for the 2008 season. The Microsoft sponsorship will feature the Microsoft Small Business name as well as the Microsoft Small Camry Microsoft Full Rear Business Specialist (SBSC) ‘blue badge,’ which designates those Microsoft Partners who specialize on servicing the needs of small businesses. With this sponsorship, the Microsoft Small Business name, as well as the Microsoft Small Business Specialist ‘blue badge,’ will be shown in a Microsoft section on the #49 car for all remaining races of the 2008 season. The BAM Racing #49 car will feature a full-car Microsoft Small Business theme (primary sponsorship) for the March 30, 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race next Sunday at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, VA. The car will show Microsoft SmallCamry Microsoft Rear 3-4 view Business and the Microsoft Small Business Specialist ‘blue badge’ across the entire car.(in part from the Microsoft SMB Community Blog), see images of the #49 TOYOTA on the blog site or my #49 Team Schemes page. Hearing this will be more of a working association the a merger with BDR. The #49 is listed as a Dodge on the entry list, but that could change when updates are made later this week. Of note, Schrader is entered in the Truck race at Martinsville...in the #52-Federated Auto Parts TOYOTA.(3-25-2008)

Awesome, as long as we don't have to hear any Windows jokes.

Alright, hopefully this will help Schrader and the 49 stay above the tide, let alone be competitive.
