The basis of this channel is motorsport, yet its brutal to see the racing fans jump through hoops to watch real racing, while all the little gimmick loser shows get forced down or mouths.

F1 especially run friday practice live or almost usually 11am - 2pm ish, anyone who has a job can't see this, and then they play the reply at 3 am which is crazy. And why they play Gp2 races before F1 races just blows me away, theres no effort in trying to market GP2 when its aired 5 or 6am sunday morning.

Now these gimmick race tv shows , who by the way are an absolute disgrace to motorports, get played 24 hours steady replayed in the middle of the night. MEANWHILE these maggets on the Speed defense side constantly point out that racing coverage is more expensive then gimmick shows, while the foundation of this channel is motorsports.

WHEN THE EEEEEEEEEFFFFFF has a tape delayed DTM race for example ever get aired 5pm-9pm on a weekday? No it gets played in the winter at noon-2pm when everyone is at work.

I would love to see for one race season, where for example, 2 or 3 races are tape delayed monday through thursday 5pm to 10pm. So Monday play tape delayed DTM - V8SuperCar from the weekend, tuesday moto gp, sbk,ama wednesday tape delayed A1GP - WTCC - BTCC and on and on..

PLENTY of room for the gimmick shows, leave the night open for pinks, superbikes for their hardcore fans to record it

Speed channel proudfully displays all the racing they air, why instead of waiting to tape delay all the good stuff in the worst time slots of winter... maybe try to present it to new people during a decent time slot...perhaps its not as PROFITABLE, but a much more balanced channel in the future...

If you don't have real racing... you can't sell the gimmick shows...thats just my opinion

I agree 1000 % I use to have to pay for this channel on my Dish Network. If I still had to it would be BYE - BYE. Some air heads in the top offices need to see the door and let it hit then in the A$$ on the way out !

I agree as well. INstead of running some of thesegreat racing series such as DTM, IHBA, V8 Supercars etc at wierd hours, run them during prime time. They are already taped delayed so what's the big deal?

Another thing, bring back WRC! Run it as a prime time weekday show on Monday nights or something.

But do you have a good idea for a "reality show." Where as many people as possible, stand around belittling and cussing each other, (then tell the camera how much they love that guy), and the boss is an arse, that doesn't know how to build morale, or run a business because he's one of the aforementioned people. And they'll build speaker boxes from press board, and charge "celebrities" ("WHO is that guy, again?"). Then they'll race one of their boom-boxed creations for owners tags, while trying to cheat, and the host will be a badly wigged ex-race car driver type that does everything he can to add to the stereotypes of race car drivers, while wearing a sweater with his old sponsors logo embroidered on it, even though that company was bought out years ago by a New Jersey based conglomerant... oh, wait. Nevermind.

I JUST GOTTA AGREE AND SPEEDTV, SHOULD BE THANKFUL I'M NOT There selling ads for that garbage show called Unique Whips (a bucket of vomit, nite in nite out.) Let's buthcher the fat pig runnin' around hollering at everyone and bringin' 'em down..... The public has to endure the WORST Camera action, shots and footage along with thee worst display of so-called American businessmen? Pleeeeez, would somebody get up off their knees and pull the plug on this and tell the 101 Cars you should drive if he can't do better than that -then he better go back to playing Watts Community Theatre, okay? 101 Cars, could be and has the "potential" to be as top-notch program that shoot the lights out of lots of other programming --but NOT at the rate he's going (alonzo host). P.S. SPEEDTV, WHY ARE YOU GUYS THROWING AWAY AMillion dollars a week, in advertising by not "doing" a POST RACE SHOW? WHY? WHY?

I too am sick and tried of Unique Whips, Pinks, Monster Jam and Wrecked that are always on. Also I'm a little sick of all the NASCAR pre-race and after the race shows. How about some real racing. The time that many of the races are on is also hard to take and if it was not for TIVO I would never watch the AP1 and GP2 races. Lets leave the reality shows for ABC NBC CBS and FOX.

Speed Channel, now that was a good format. But tv/racing broadcast rights cost money, and Fox wont pay. They'd rather fill time slots with "reality" crap than anything remotely resembling some sort of ACTUAL racing

My mistake, and I'm sorry all. My last post should read "Speed Vision...", and not Speed Channel.. Does anyone remember those crazy "from down under" blown/injected jet boats that, along with navigator, the pilot would circumvent a man made maze of berms.? The water musta been maybe 2 feet deep. And the spectators, these psychos, would chill on those berms, watching these nuts rip around.... Ah Speed Vision, I miss thee...

Ahh SpeedVision, thou art missed. I also remember watching airplane racing. THAT was cool. I think that network would have broadcast train racing if the could have gotten two on parallel tracks. =D

I could not agree more. What is the deal with Wrecked? Who came up with, and more importantly approved, this waste of 30 minutes? Pinks and Unique Whips is not far behind in their high levels of suck either.

Honestly, if it weren't for F1, GP2 and the rarely aired other motorsports events (thanks Tivo) I would not bother with Speed. I too miss Speedvision, that was a fantastic channel.
