Haven't watched the show, probably never will. But I have a pretty strong background in suspension and steering and I am amazed at how many fools tinker with their ride height. I never have been popular with the tuner,low rider or street rod crowd and I really don't care unless they are willing to get in line and PAY dearly for un-necessary work.

you wouldn't, dont knock the culture unless you have tried it. lowriders are built to a quality that most car guys will never be able to build.

i do too, i like drag racing more. i drive a 73 stingray everday. but on the weekends i drive my 64 convertible. There is no reason to disrespect our style of artwork, because we dont go around bashing others preference on how to build their cars.

I meant no disrespect to any craftsmen that really know how to build something of quality. I'm talkin about butchers and stupid kids that do things they are not qualified for. It's your time and money so as long as I'm not involved then it's not my problem. I happen to be hung up on race cars and boats myself so I don't have much time for such things.

Speed Channel needs to explore outside of california, there are many inovative shops outside of california that are doing major things for the lowrider scene, and sticking only to california doesnt allow the viewers to actually see the full scale of this lifestyle, rather keeps it norrowminded.
secondly they need to stop sliding in the "below the belt" comments refering to the hot rod scene, because the traditional hot rod scene and the lowrider scene are so closely related and affiliated it rediculous. the simple fact that if it wasnt for traditional hot rods and customs, there would be no "LIVING THE LOW LIFE"

2 things,..how so? traditional hot rods were/are based on 50's speed equipment used at dry lakes such as El Mirage. How is an overweight car with air bags, hydrolics and a ton of paint has anything to do with a car like this?
