Then they were going to penalize Benson for passing when he was just avoiding the mess and after realizing that about the whole pack would have to be flagged they dropped the penalty. NASCAR still enforcing rules only when they choose to. I think both Bodine and Darnell were speeding leaving pit road but NASCAR didn't call it because they were leading the race.
I think Darnell almost caused a big pile up entering pit road too slowly. Maybe nascar figured those guys were taking evasive action so they didnt run over Darnell or get ran over from behind? Just a thought but I didnt see anything wrong other than Darnell entering too slowly which bunched things up. I also think the rule is you have to maintain a reasonable speed too. I cant recall who it was last year but it was Ken Schrader and somebody else that wasnt maintaining speed so he passed or got passed(I cant recall) and nascar didnt penalize him for it. And I didnt see Bodine leave the pits but it looked like he entered the pits pretty fast and hot

One thing I noticed, that might make a difference, is that it appears that NASCAR moved the Commitment Line/Speed Line at Pit In ahead a few feet this year.

So, was there even a Truck thread? I couldn't find it but maybe my head's fuzzy from looking at pages of numbers for the past hour.

How annoying!

That really cheats anyone who doesn't have Speed and wanted to read about the race.

With all due respect to the moderators and with all appropriate recognition of the thankless nature of their job, they should do the RIGHT thing, not the easy thing. :(

I don't understand how Todd Bodine was not penalized for passing Erik Darnell under the yellow line while they were coming to pit road. Then Bodine's teammate takes out Darnell!?! Nascar has rules about this stuff I think they should follow them. They were going to penalize Johnny Benson but after review they saw they would have to penalize Bodine and mabe even Kyle Busch so they descided not to. I'm sorry but that just seems wrong to me. Stuff like this might be why nascar's ratings have started to drop.

When has Nascar ever been consistent??? LOL
Now that would be controversial.
