Ray Emery is officially bought out and is now an unrestrcited free agent as of July 1.

Speaking of Free Agents, any one have a list of this offseason's batch of 'em?

This is probably one of the better lists

Another list here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=3466831

I'm a bit sad that we're gonna lose Metropolit after he did so much for the B's this year, but I also know we're gonna get some good new guys in. I keep forgetting the Bruins even have the rights to Zhamnov.

Metro's gone to the Flyers and Auld to the Sens. Chiarelli's blog says that the B's are out of the running for an "elite player", but I also heard a 12 year, $100mil offer from them was gonna head Hossa's way. We'll see, I guess. Even if just the offer is true, that's impressive coming from a Jeremy Jacobs owned team.

First off, good to see another Bruins fan!

I don't know much about him, either, but he doesn't sound too bad. The problem with the Bruins right now, as far as getting top notch players, is the ownership. You can offer all the money in the world, but if you don't look committed to winning the Stanley Cup, no top player is going to go your way. I don't see the current ownership as those kind of people. They strike me as being content if they make the second round of the playoffs.

Either way, the Bruins weren't too bad last season, and forcing a seventh game with Montreal was a huge shock. There may not be anything to be optimistic about, but I still have a good feeling about next season for the B's. I am interested in Tuukka Rask, partly for his name, and partly because Tim Thomas just doesn't do it for me.
