Just to let you guys know, the image function has been restored. While the old thread is gone(all of the longer threads were lost), with the img function working, you are free to restart your favorite threads from this forum. The automotive discussion forum, more than any other, really is worthless without pics.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Nope. If you recognize either the designer, or the industrialist builder, or the young lady, then you should have no trouble at all finding the car. You seem to have a huge chip on your shoulder about this car - not really sure why. If you know as much as you make it sound like you do (and I have no reason to doubt that you do), then what car is this? It really isn't all that hard to find on the web, in more than one place.

So, the Barracuda "sort of" thing is over ? I've got a good one ready to go but I don't want to step on any toes...
Firelyne's identification above serves the purpose to move on I think.
What'cha got?

It's not a 101. Or postwar. Or by that coachbuilder.

Are you sure about that? I've seen it identified as such on at least three different sites. The type 101 was based on the 57, but it does have its own type number, and that is a Guilloré body, according to all the references I've found so far.
Oh, and don't worry about helping yourself to my turn. It's not like I had the last correct answer or anything.

Oh. Well, since it wasn't my turn anyway (I thought it was a new thread...), I'll just say that I have it as a 1938 57C by Gangloff. Jeez. Never mind.
