Forget about Little Ceaser's pizza, Mike Illitch has got a lot of his money tied up in the Tigers and Red Wings and Comerica park is adorned in Little Ceaser's. My friends and I refer to Little Ceaser's as Illitch Family pizza.
I would like to see Sam Adams, Jagermeister, Cabela's, Dekalb ( it's a seed company they sell a lot of corn seed perfect to go on the ethanol car), Browning, Ruger, Beretta, GAP, Old Navy, Budweiser, Sony, Verizon, Microsoft, Apple, MLB, Rolling Rock, Labatt Blue, Travelocity.com, Schwans, motor Oil Companies, Movies headed to the box office.

:? If those companies aren't in Nascar ?? And those Nascar fans love their guns, then why would they join the IRL ??[/quote:93c5dea4a1] It depends upon perception and demograpics. Statistically maybe more NASCAB fans hunt but that doesn't mean they can afford Beretta arms. I would argue a very large percentage of them use Remmington and Winchester firearms. The thread was titled Sponsor's you'd like to see in the IRL why aren't you trumping every single one of the sponsor's mentioned for they all could be in NASCAB. And why are you leaving Browning out of the firearm companies mentioned? And who says even if they were in NASCAB why couldn't they sponsor IRL cars as well, it certainly is feasible. And how long will it be before the stock cars are overly saturated with sponsors and the sponsor have to get into bidding wars to get there name on a car. What will the sponsor's do about that? Branch out? Go some place else? Throw it into tv commercials.

[quote:33e1b0b3ca="AntiRover"]I would like to see Marlboro stay, we are seeing the end of an era with the Penske cars.[/quote:33e1b0b3ca] I'm inclined to agree with you it just doesn't seem right seeing a Penske Indy Car without Marlboro on it. I don't smoke and don't appreciate people fouling up sporting events with the stench of cigarette smoke. I mean I don't walk up next to someone and fart it's close to the same difference they both stink. But I don't think tobacco should be black balled from advertising and promoting their product. The argument is it kills people. So does fast food and, alcohol. All three take a while but where is the out cry for the other two? All three of those things can kill you it just depnds how much how long and what context you look at. People are going to do what they want to do regardless of the consequences. Life is about choices. Just doesn't seem fair to handicap someone's business like that. I wonder if it would make people happier if it said Phillip Morris on the car rather than Marlboro. However it does suck being unable to get a exact replica Penkse die cast.

i  n late 2005, Penske Racing announced primary sponsor Marlboro, which had been a sponsor with Penske Racing since 1990, and primary sponsor of all Penske open-wheel racing cars since 1991, was leaving because of tobacco legislation.
Cigarettes kill 500,000 in USA every year.
 :x
case closed ! It was Many Many years past due to see North America ban Tobacco Advertising in Motorpsorts.
Any way  team Penske has the "Subliminal" Red & White paint Scheme.( I'm sure that still helps sell a few packs of cancer sticks) Although they should change 1 car to a yellow Kodak car and the other to a Mobil 1 car.
The Sposnors that Indy Car Series need is Sponsors that are SAFE and Respectable companies and products.

I'm being fecious. I know what Marlboro announced in 05' Penske has plenty of sponsor's within Penske motorsports. In my opinion the tobacco legislation that is being handed down can be compared to prohibition. The research is there and shows that cigarettes are the only product on the market guaranteed to kill you if you take the recomended dosage or whatever you want to call it. I'm sure everyone has lost a relative to them. However I believe people are always going to do it I mean come on health professionals do it talk about ignorance. BTW I'm amazed what Marlboro is shelling out to sponsor the F1 team.

What is the point of Asking the question if you are going to limit what we can respond with?
How many people are killed each year by Drunk Driving? As long as Bud, Coor's Light, Miller Light, Jack Daniels, and Crown Royal are on cars, I think that Marlboro,Players, Kool, and Winston should be allowed to continue with sponsorship of the teams/series.
